"Let's go fishin

"Let's go fishing!" Your sister says.

"BUt I hate fishing." You reply.

"OH, c'mon, it'll be fun!"

And there you are, three hours later, with no fish. You are about to ask your sister if you guys can go back to the shore, but suddenly your fishing ploe moves slightly. You got a bite! You quickly reel it in, only to discover that the fish is tiny and there's a small piece of paper in it's mouth. Intrigued, you take the paper out before throwing the fish back. It reads:

Dear CBer,

How would you like to go on a cruise? Free of charge, our top-of-the-line cruise ship will take you on a luxury cruise around the world, stopping off at many different ports. Passports will be provided once you board the ship. The boat leaves from a port in California, and you'll find several first-class tickets to there enclosed in this envelope. The best part? There will be absolutely no deaths, quick, painful, poisonings, stabbings, murders or otherwise. see you there!

'Sounds like fun' you think. 'I think I'll go. I've never flown first-class before!"

So. This is another one of those murder mystery things, and I know there's already a couple of them going on, but oh well. There's going to be a max of 12 people, but AEs and CAPTCHAs are welcome to come. have fun! I'll try my best to post every couple of days, but I'll let you guys know if I'm super busy or won't be able to post for a while. Also, you can start guessing who I am as soon as you join.  

P.S.- I'm up for suggestions on what cruise line it should be. Disney? Norwegian? Carnival? Princess? A completely made up cruise line? If you have ideas, let me know! I've only ever been on a Disney cruise, so I will only be able to accurately portray a Disney cruise if that's what we choose. If we choose something else, I won't be able to accurately write about it, unless it's a made up one. =)

TELL ME ABOUT IT. Hey Mei, at least we should be glad that we don't have trombones. Just out of curiosity, how big is your band? Right now our band is about to get cut in half. We had only eight wind instruments, and a whole bunch of percussionists, but one family who has four people in the wind section might be leaving. So yeah, if they leave all that we'll have is two clarinets, one trombone, and a saxophone. :/

Luna just said ihmt. You hate heavy-metal?

(Also I'm sorry if i get the personalities of anyone's AE or CAPTCHA wrong. And I'm sorry about not posting yesterday, I was a lot busier than I thought I would be.)

DAY ZERO PART 1-

Ice Wolf and Leeli rushed to the entance to the airport. They were slightly late, as their troublesome AEs had een hard to get out the door. Dragging their AEs, CAPTCHAs and suitcases behind them, they greeted their fellow CBers.

"Where have you been?" Shadowmoon demanded. "Our plane leaves in 20 minutes! Let's go!" With that, she marched inside, followed by HAB, Mei-xue and The Riddler. 

"You're not that late," Leafmist assured them, stroking her CAPTCHA, cradled in her arms. "I only got here a couple minutes ago. Let's go." 

Inside the airport went as well as could be expected. Getting through security was a challenge, as Sweet TEa nearly pied an innocent bystander, Dolphin almost escaped HAB's watchful eye, and Reyna got a bit too offended when a security guard asked her to take off her shoes to go through. Once through, the CBers were able to breathe a sigh of relief. Now all they had to do was find teir gate and board the plane. Easy, right?

"Why don't we get something to eat?" THe Riddler suggested. Six nodded her agreement.

"I think there's a McDonald's over there," Elisabelle said, pointing to a small cafe. So they ate. Munching on their hamburgers, french fries, chicken nuggets and side salads (I'm pretty sure McDonald's has salads idk), the CBers discussed what they thought the cruise would be like. 

"I went on a cruise one time," said one CBer. "Food EVERYWHERE. It was great."

When tey had finished their meal, they threw away their garbage and went to find their gate.

"What gate does the plane leave from?" Leeli asked. "THe letter never said." 

"The plane tickets might say," Ice Wolf suggested. "LEt's look." She pulled out her plane tickets and showed them to everyone. "Gate C. Let's go."

Gate C was not crowded. In fact, it was deserted. THis must have been a private flight booked for just the CBers. WHen it was time, they boarded their plane without any mishaps and sat down in their seats. The plan took off a few minutes later, and some in-flight snacks were served. The AEs all ordered something sweet (because they totally needed more energy), and most of the CBers got something to drink. Sweet Tea was the first to receive her cookies, and she gobbled them down. Before you could say "cricket", she keeled over, dead. A flight attendant immediately rushed over and inspected her cookie.

"Poison," she muttered. "Who would poison cookies?"

"Oh, no," LEafmist said, tears streaking down her face. "This has happened before. There's a murderer among us, and (s)he won't stop until all of us are dead.

Why do the characters in ski lodges always instantly realize there's a murderer on the loose right after the very first death? Stir up some tension, let people become suspicious of one another... make it dramatic! And, y'know... interesting!

DAY ZERO PART 2~

"Nah, that's crazy," Leeli said, "there's not a murderer. The letter specifically said NO deaths. Why would (s)he lie?"

"Well SOMEONE had to kill Tea. She didn't poison herself," Ice Wolf said. "There has to be a killer here on this plane, but we don't know who..." Ice glanced at each of the CBers, AEs and CAPTCHAs warily. "It could be anyone." 

"But WHY would someone want to kill Tea?" Leafmist sniffed. "She didn't do anything wrong." 

"I dunno," Riddler assured her. "Hopefully it was just a freak accident."

After the plane landed, the CBers went to get their luggage from the baggage claim. They got their suitcases and duffel bags before the AEs could cause any trouble and waited for whoever was supposed to pick them up and take them to the dock to board the boat.

Soon, a shimmery gray mirage appeared behind the CBers. They jumped, and turned around to face the Ghost Captain.

"I am here to take you to the cruise ship. Follow me." So they did. The CBers walked for what seemed like an eternity until they reached a dock, with an impossibly enormous ship waiting by it. To board it, you had to walk up a tunnel-type structure that weaved back and forth in a zig-zag position. The AEs and CAPTCHAs were fascinated by the size of the boat, while the CBers were just desperate to get on it without any accidents. They did, and were safely on the boat without any problems. Following the Ghost Captain, they walked out onto the deck and studied the clouds while they waited for the boat to start its journey across the sea. The AEs were the most adventurous, walking right up to the railing on the edge of the ship and leaning over the edge. Finally, the engine started up, shaking the boat rather violently. Alfred had leaned a bit too far over the edge and toppled over, startled from the moving of the boat. Spyro saw what happened and shrieked,

"Someone pushed Alfred over the edge! I saw it! Someone pushed him!" Ice Wolf was closest, so she was the first one over there. 

"Did you see who it was?" she demanded. Leeli rushed over to the railing and shouted,

"MAN OVERBOARD! MAN OVERBOARD!" She ran around, trying to find a life preserver to throw down to her struggling AE. Before she could find anything, the boat started to move, sailing away from Alfred, who was barely able to keep his head above water. She kept yelling, in hopes that someone would hear and stop the boat. No such luck. Soon, the ship had sailed too far away for Leeli to even see her poor AE. Mei-xue tried to comfort her. 

"Maybe we could go find our rooms and get something to eat. Let's go." And with that, the sad group of CBers left the deck to go inside the boat.

Arrrg! I be the Dead First Mate! I'll be fillin' in fur the captain while he/she is busy. The captain and I agreed on this ahead of time. I hope ye' like this post! 
Day One~
After the death of Alfred, the cbers seem especially cautious around the railings. Ghost Captain floats up to the group of AEs and CAPTCHAs. "Ye should be settling into your rooms." Dead first mate tells the same thing to the Cbers, who have been whispering anxiously in a group. Shadowmoon steps forwards suspiciously. "How do we know that this isn't some sort of trap?" The Riddler nods in agreement. "We've barely cast off, and already someone has died." Dead First Mate shrugs. "Well, if ye want to be sleepin' on the decks tonight, have it your way. I seriously doubt that sleeping outside in the open will be safer then a warm, cozy bed." Seeing the sense in this, the Cbers follow First Mate into a luxorious suite of rooms. Ghost Captain finally comes in with a large crowd of CAPTCHAS and AEs following. Mei raises her eyebrows, impressed. "How did you get that crazy bunch to follow you?" Ghost Captain grins and hold up a large bag of jelly beans. Everyone nods in approval. Each group has their own set of rooms. The Captcha's rooms had floors made out of trampolines, to "Get rid of some of the energy, before they tear apart me ship," as Ghost Captain said. The AE's rooms were filled with all sorts of cubbyholes, nooks, and crannies, so that they could play hide and seek. The Cber's rooms were quite luxurious, with plush red carpet, oak-paneled walls and furniture, overstuffed armchairs, and cushy beds. But the best thing about it was the books. Bookshelves lined every wall, with every sort of book imaginable. Portholes looked out on the stormy ocean, and the sun streamed onto the shelves, illuminating the things that would provide hours of entertainment on this long ocean voyage. The Cbers were giddy with delight, partly at the luxurious rooms, but mostly about the books. After exclaiming about the accomodations for a while, the Cbers unpacked. First Mate floated in to announce an assembly on deck. Once everyone was up, with the AEs and CAPTCHAs happily munching on jellybeans, Ghost Captain stepped forwards. "I bet you've been wondering about the name of this fine vessel, and I don't blame you. For reasons that we don't discuss, we had to paint the name of the ship over. This is the 'Artemis Queen', and we sail with "Cricket Cruiselines" *Artemis Fowl fans around the world cheer silently* Ghost Captain continued. "We will be stopping for a while to take a quick swim in the ocean." As he/she spoke, the ship's motor stopped, and everyone hears First Mate yell, "Jump in!" Everyone rushes to change, and then some of the braver Cbers jump into the chilly water, while the rest sunbathe on the deck. Dolphin swims around gleefully, splashing everyone with her antics. She swims farther and farther away from the ship, and HAB calls her back in. Then he squints, confused. From where he's sitting, it looks like there's two grey shapes in the water. He jumps into the water to investigate, only to be blinded by a sudden burst of light. He hears a surprised chirrup from dolphin, than silence. Fearing the worst, HAB grabs one of the moterboats that is floating at the side of the "Artemis Queen" and rides out to where Dolphin was. He returns 15 minutes later, a heartbroken look on his face. "Dolphin....she...something got her." First Mate floats out, and looks at something in the boat. A shocked look crosses his/her face. "You took out Dolphin's killer?" HAB nods, and First Mate explains, "This is a laser shark. Last used by President Buisness to protect his lair. I don't know how one of these are out here.... Unless..... The murderer! He/she could have bought one of these things from the suppliers, Lasers&co, and programmed it to take out dolphin. I'm so sorry, HAB." HAB nods sadly, and a disheartened group of Cbers and AEs head towards dinner, with the setting sun at their backs.

Poor dolphin. Maybe her ghost can visit those Norweigen relatives now. And sorry, couldn't resist the Lego Movie reference. XD

DAY TWO~

The CBers sat in the cafe, sipping on warm drinks and mournfully snacking on food from the buffet. 

"Who would do such a things as to murder these poor AEs?" Leafmist wailed. "What did they do?" HAb sighed. 

"I don't know, but there's nothing we can do about it. Might as well have fun before the cruise ends, right? I saw that there's a waterslide on the deck. Why don't we go change into our swimsuits and ride it some?" Leeli nodded. 

"Sounds like fun! Might take our mind off what happened."

After the CBers had changed, they went out onto the boat deck and rode the waterslides for a few minutes. When The Riddler and Mei-xue were climbing up the stairs for the millionth time, they spotted something strange in the water. It looked vaguely like a lifeboat, and... it had people in it! the two CBers alerted First Mate and Ghost Captain, who went to investigate. They lowered some ropes down and the figures inside the boat tied the ropes to the boat, which was pulled up onto the deck by the ghosts. Upon closer inspection, it actually was a lifeboat! Shivering inside the crude boat were one CBer and one AE.

"Where did you come from?" Ice Wolf asked incredulously. "WHo even are you?"

"I-I'm Megan," the girl stammered. "This is m-my AE, C-Cortana." Megan rubbed her hands together. "W-we were going to c-come on the cruise, b-but you guys flew away on the plane without us. We were kinda late. We tried to catch you guys at the airport after we caught the next flight, but you guys were gone. So we found an inflateable boat and followed the Artemis Queen in it. We barely managed to keep up with this boat. It's really fast. Anyway, I'm glad we're finally on the boat. My arms are tired from all that rowing."

"Well, I'm glad we saw you before teh ship got too far out to sea," Shadowmoon commented. "Welcome aboard the Artemis Queen!" 

Megan and Cortana were hungry, so the Cbers took them to go get something to eat. Megan chose macaroni and cheese from the buffet line, while Cortana selected a donut. While they were eating, Elisabelle, Reyna and Grace held the CAPTCHAs in thier laps and fed them. (I apologize if any of the CAPTCHAs are human, I'm just banking on the fact that they're all animals.) Reyna fed some apple seeds to Xiao tuzi, and some carrot slices to Misty. Xiao tuzi coughed several times, then fell out of Reyna's lap. Mei-xue looked up from her books and exclaimed,

"What did you do?" 

"I-I don't know! I just fed him some apple seeds and-" Reyna stammered. 

"You fed him apple seeds? Those are toxic to rabbits!" 

"I-I'm sorry, I didn't know!" Mei crouched down and picked up her poor CAPTCHA, who was already dead.

I'm sorry that the death scene was probably boring, but it's hard killing an innocent bunny. *cries*
