i am a fiddler. I absolutely love it and have just learned a bunch of new tunes. I was wondering if anyone else on CB played fiddle music too? If so, post your favorite tune or style or whatever (Frank's reel and old time tunes are mine). It would be cool to meet some other people who are like me. :)

No, sorry, I don't play the fiddle. I do play the piano, though!

What if I told you I play that fiddlely thingy?

*stares* I thought I knew everything about my AEs. You play the fiddle?

Nope! I asked you what would happen if I did, but I don't! So if I did (but I don't), what would happen if I did (but I don't)? Because if I did (but I don't), I wonder what your reaction would be to my playing the fiddle (except for the fact that I don't)

So... *tries to wrap mind around phrase*  *epically fails* Ah, forget it. Quit confusing me. So where was I? Ah yes. I am sorry to inform you that I do not play the fiddle. Gah! I don't talk like that! I go: Oh yeah. I'm sorry that I don't play the fiddle. I really like how it sounds, though.

Swift says "nxtp". Next Stop? As in, Next Stop is Washington State, or as in Next time Stop?

I play the violin too! I've been playing since first grade, but unfortunately, for the last two years I haven't done anything. I should start again!

This is CNN Reporter. I've been playing since 4th grade and I'm in 6th grade. I'm okay, I guess. My vibrato is still kind of shaky and sometimes I play to close to the bridge. But, I still love it! I discovered recently that if you put on a lot of rosin every day it sounds really good.

i actually found that if you play close to both the frog and the bridge you get a much louder sound, whereas if you play by the fingerboard with the tip it is very quiet. also, i just had a lesson today, my bridge was crooked and my teacher was showing me how to straighten it when it FELL OUT!!!! i nearly died of stress when i was tightening my strings back up, i was so sure my E was going to snap. xo luckily it didnt. what sort of music do you play? any songs that you really like?

I play the violin! I'm Principle Second Violin in my orchestra! Once my bridge fell out, too, but then my soundpost fell out, and we had to drive two hours to get it fixed. Ugh. If you hear something rattling aruond in your violin, and it looks like a small, wooden stick, then that's the sound post and YOU NEED TO GET IT FIXED! Because or else your violin will collapse. But if there's not problem, then yay!

that almost happened when my bridge fell out but my teachers violin is in even worse condition! he had to get a hairline crack repaired bit dou you know what they did to fix it? they took the neck and fingerboard off!  thats like getting your head amputated to fix a sore toe!
