Tin Man... The

Tin Man... The scifi channel's steampunk take on the classic Wizard of Oz. It's six hours long, though. 

Anyhoo, DG lived a normal life as a waitress/college student in Kansas. Then one day a giant twister comes her way - and her parents push her into it, jumping after her themselves. DG wakes up alone in a place called the O.Z. -the Outer Zone. There she meets Glitch (the "scarecrow"), Cain (the "tin man") and Raw (the "cowardly lion") and learns that it is her duty to overthrow the evil witch, Azkadellia (who is awesome). Also she learns that her parents are robots and she's a princess. 

Special effects are so-so, given that it's a scifi channel deal, but the actors and storyline are amazing. So is the score. *nodnod*

Anyone else seen/heard of it?

Sounds crazy.

I don't have TV, so even if scifi didn't scare the heck out of me, I still wouldn't be able to watch it.

Yes, we do have a TV, but we can only watch movies.  :)

It's steampunk. It's not scary. And it's available on DVD and from iTunes... It's worth the... *runs to check iTunes price* Holy Helen it's only 6 bucks! *OOH* Yeah, worth six bucks. Maybe I'll buy it... once I get my debit card activated, anyway... Dun know where my DVD went... :(

But yeah. It's a very good show. Even if it's six hours long. Plus, Azkadellia is an *awesome* villain. One of the best in a very long while, IMHO. 

Oh, you guys don't have TV (but you have a TV)? Us, too. :)
