Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

We all like

We all like stories, of course. If we don't, why are we here? How are we here?
But this is a different sort of story.
It's mid May, 2017, and the residents of Wilson Hill Academy, a boarding school, are merely worried about the upcoming theatre competition. Far away, Avaria Terell is looking for opportunity. When their paths meet, some of the CBers grow suspicious that the Academy is not what it seems...
This is a CBer story. Come as your CBer self, but no AE's or CAPTCHAs! I have trouble writing lots of characters. Spots close on Saturday the twenty-fifth; we will begin then.
Depending on how much detail you give me, how early you join, and how well I think I can write your character, there will be main, secondary, and background characters. But everyone will have a role to play.

Can I join as a secondary charrie? Sorry! I'm kinda not supposed to be on here because I gave up electronics for Lent, but I was checking up on y'all and this caught my eye.

I miss you all, and can't wait to meet everybody new when I come back for good! (Wow, 6 weeks is a lot longer than it sounds) Does anyone remember me? Anyways, my charrie:

Name: Bluebird or Blue

Age: 13

Gender: Female

Personality: I'd say relatively talkative, happy, and artistic, but VERY introverted, and when I get tired, I shut down. I like to have deep conversations and don't like gossip. I can be a bit stubborn, and I can be opinionated about certain issues, but I try to stay calm most of the time.

Other: I say I don't like science but actually, I'm really interested in astronomy, botany, genetics, and whatever they call the study of gemstones. (Geology, right?) I love to draw and paint, and have been animating things lately. History, especially ancient history, is another passion of mine. I like to read and write. I play the piano and clarinet, and softball, volleyball, and basketball. I'm in love with fuzzy socks, the color blue alternative bands  (esp. Fall Out Boy, TØP, and PVRIS) and Disney movies. And chocolate! That's about it.

See you guys on the... 16th, right?

Here's a super quick part! I'm bad about writing things in chronological order, so though I wrote a whole lot today there are several gaps to fill in...

~ ~ ~

“So, what do you want to write about?” RP asked. Miss Elliott had given some rather vague guidelines, leaving room for creativity. RP felt slight hostility from the others, and shifted uncomfortably. Maybe they had wanted to work as a pair.

“No idea,” Clouded Leopard said stiffly, mindlessly weaving her fingers.

They said nothing for some time. RP could hear the other groups chatting and laughing. She watched Mei, talking animatedly to Treble Clef as she drew giant circle in the air. A few rows behind them, Quirker rolled her eyes while another girl RP didn’t recognize laughed hysterically.

“If you need inspiration, remember I have some books of skits up front,” Miss Elliott said as she passed.

“Thank you!” RP said, and hurried over to them. A girl with waist-length brown hair was immersed in a small volume.

“Destiny? Are you coming?” called an older girl from across the room.

“Oh, right,” Destiny said vaguely, and meandered away.

RP took her time looking at the different books. She wasn’t sure if the other girls were really shy or didn’t like her, and if it was the latter option, she didn’t see that they had any basis for doing so. Oh well. Maybe they would get along better when they actually started writing.

Okay, I finally wrote this part! I've written the next three parts already, so I'll be posting a lot more often than before. Yay!!

Bluebird!! Hurray! I'll be writing you and Lilypad in very soon.

Part Three

Clouded watched the girl slowly selecting a few books of plays. She probably wasn’t that bad personally, but it was disappointing that she and Booksy couldn’t work together. And neither of them were that great with new people.

What was really occupying Clouded’s mind were some rumors she had heard about what would happen at the beginning of June. She was pretty sure that the writing class was actually going to put on the skits they wrote, and had also heard that there was going to be an amazing surprise-- possibly for Booksy, maybe for one of the others. Her mind flitted through different possibilities. Booksy was a very good student, particularly in English. Maybe there was going to be some sort of a test, a reward…

But rumors were only rumors.

“I found a book,” Random Person said, coming back. “It was extremely difficult to select one.”

Clouded decided to take initiative.

“Alright, let’s see.” Clouded took the book and flipped through. “This one’s about a boy with mind control powers, that might be cool.”

“And not plagiarizing at all,” Random Person said.

“I-- I like that idea,” Booksy piped up.

“Let’s keep looking.” If they were actually putting these on, Clouded wanted something she felt comfortable acting. “Oh, this one looks funny…”

Random Person looked over her shoulder. “Yeah, it doesn’t need any extremely complicated props at all. Should be easy for someone to put on.”

Sarcasm, sarcasm, sarcasm. “We’re not doing them right from the book, we’re going to change them to something unique,” Clouded said. She flipped to the next skit.

“A murderer? That’s totally writing from what we know!” said Random Person.

Clouded glared. “The goal of this is to be creative, Random Person--”

“RP,” the girl said automatically.

Clouded looked at Booksy, and could tell she felt just as uncomfortable and fed up with Random Person as Clouded was, maybe even more.

“Well, we’re being productive,” Random Person said.

Without a word, Clouded continued looking through the book. The next half hour was painful, with all the other groups seeming to be having a great time. But at least Booksy was in the same group. And if a surprise for her was concerned, then it was probably all for the best.
