Song Recommendations

So, one of my favorite things in the world is to recommend songs. I also love listening to songs that other people like. So, this is a thread for that exact purpose! I will try to listen to every song you guys post, and tell you what I think! I'll listen to anything. Thank you!

P.S. My captcha just said meek! I lost track of how many words she's said, but I'm guessing somewhere around 5...?

@Leafpool- Yes, I'm googling it and typing it into Youtube, but it's just coming up with a song by The Cars.

OK, I'm just gonna start spouting:

-Anything by Coldplay really

-Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes by Sylvan and Esso(I think that's what the song is called. Something like that.)

-King and Lionheart by Of Monsters and Men

-Dirty Paws by Of Monsters and Men

-Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men

-This Is How We Walk On the Moon by Jose Gonzales

-Bird and the Worm by Owl City

-All of the Harry Potter soundtrack

-Your Love Could Start a War by The Unlikely Candidates

-Calcifer by Yosti

No way, I watch Bad Lip Reading too! My favorite is Bushes of Love, it's hilarious!

I've heard Rings of Fire, which I like, and September before, it's so catchy but I couldn't ever look it up because I had no idea what they were saying. I know Send me on My Way from Ice Age, XD And I know I'm a Believer from Shrek. I don't really like Grandma's Feather Bed, but it is catchy. I think I've heard Sweet Caroline before, I think it could grow on me.

Also, a question- it seems like you like older songs, so do you like The Beach Boys? I was listening to the Teen Beach Movie soundtrack (don't judge) and my mom told me to listen to them because they sound sort of like Cruisin' for a Bruisin'... which is a great song, XD, and I've discovered that I like them a lot!

I'll follow Sprockets example:

- Day & Age by The Killers (Techncally it's an album, but whatever, it's still amazing)

- Heartbreaker by Led Zepplin (or anything by Led Zepplin)

- Babel by Mumford & Sons

- Good Greif by Bastille

- Under Pressure by Queen & David Bowie

- Sir Duke by Stevie Wonder

- Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing by Stevie Wonder

- I Was Me by Imagine Dragons (See Led Zepplin footnote)

- City of Blinding Lights by U2

- Seperate Ways (Worlds Apart) by Journey

- Walking on the Moon by The Police

-Ride by Twenty One Pilots

- Anything by Coldplay, but especially Speed of Sound, A Rush of Blood to the Head, and Something Just Like This.

I could go on pretty much forever, but I'll choose not to.

Ride used to be one of my favorite songs, and then it got way too overplayed on the radio... same with Something Just Like This. I love the song Good Grief, the only problem is that it gets stuck in my head for the whole day! I know the song Under Pressure, because my dad always complains about how the people who wrote Ice Ice Baby stole the first part. I know I've heard the song Sir Duke somewhere before, and I love it!

I listened to about half of Day and Night, it's an awesome album! The only song I've heard by the Killers is Mr. Brightside, but I'll have to start listening to more of them. Separate Ways sounds like Fall Out Boy, sort of, his voice sounds sort of like Patrick Stump's.  I like Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing, it's catchy, and I Was Me. My favorite Imagine Dragons song is Dream but this might be my second favorite. I'm not too fond of Heartbreaker, City of Blinding Lights, and Walking on The Moon, but I do like Speed of Sound and A Rush of Blood to the Head. Thank you for the song recommendations!

I like a few songs by Coldplay (again, the mainstream ones, Hymn of The Weekend is my favorite). I love the songs Dirty Paws, King and Lionheart, and Little Talks, and if you like of Monsters and Men, you should look up the song Particles by Olafur Arnalds and Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir (the lead singer of the band). Olafur Arnalds is one of my favorite musicians and his music is GREAT for writing.

Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes (it was called H.S.K.T. when I looked it up..,?), is a really interesting song! I think I've heard it in a commercial somewhere.  I don't really like This Is How We Walk On the Moon, I'm not sure why. :( I love Bird and the Worm! I don't know why I don't listen to Owl City very much, I've never heard a song by them that I don't like. And I think Your Love Could Start a War might be my favorite song at the moment, it's great! It reminds my a bit of this song called The Definition of Not Leaving by Hands Like Houses. Calcifer is awesome, too! I love songs like that, it kind of reminds me of Novo Amor mixed with electronic-stuff (I don't know what it's called! XD) who I've already recommended to somebody. I'm obsessed... Thank you for the recommendations!

@Bluebird, huh! Maybe try searching these lyrics? "I never wanna leave this sunset town/but one day the time may come/and I'll take you at your word and carry on/I'll hate the goodbye but I won't forget the good times"

-In The Eye of The Storm by Ryan Stevenson

-Hills and Valleys by Tauren Wells

-Invincible by Skillet

-Anything by Needtobreathe, but some of my favorites are More Time, Testify, Won't Turn Back, and The Heart.

Oh, thank you for recommending these! I've been trying to listen to more Christian music, but I never know what to listen to. All of your recommendations are great songs! I've got a song for you to listen to, also- Home Free's version of How Great Thou Art, it was one of the only songs I've ever heard that actually gave me shivers. It's absolutely beautiful.

Olafur. Arnalds. Is. Great. For. Novelling! He makes instrumental music, and I'm not one who usually likes music like that, but I love every song of his. He also gives his sheet music away for free on his website (I don't remember if you play an instrument, but if you're interested...) Another thing I like to listen to while novelling is Lo-fi music, I'm not sure how to describe it, but I listen to a radio online. Also, Novo Amor, who I'm recommending for the third time XD

Thank you for the recommendations!

You're welcome! I love those songs. I'll have to listen to Home Free's How Great Thou Art sometime! And thank you for the noveling suggestions! I'll check those out. I have some more Christian music recommendations that I'll post on the last page of this thread for everyone to see!
