Do any of you CBers keep an art journal or bullet journal? Do you take really nice notes or have decorative planners? Here is the place to post pictures or talk about anything of this nature.

I've seen bullet journaling all over Pinterest and tumblr, so today, I made a DIY bullet journal with the help of a bookbinding tutorial and free printable dot paper, and I'm going to start filling it up. When this thread shows up I can post pictures, and if you're interested, show you how I made it.

Thanks for reading!

Okay, so unfortunately I had to rely on Google photos to create my collages, so they're all outta order. Bear with me and try to follow along.

(Collage no. 1)

Here is my first 6 spreads.

Top right corner: This is my INDEX, just a simple list of page numbers and items. Go ahead, read it if you'd like. :)

Right side middle: This is my KEY, the backbone you could say, of my bullet journal. I am a pretty organized person, so with me, everything has a place and everything is colored codes. XD

Right bottom corner: This is my CALENDEX, also known as my YEAR AT A GLANCE. This spread is a work in progress. XD

Here I have a birthday spread, but I don't want to show it because it does have personal names on it already. It's very simple--just a box for each month, and then the day and person's name written in it.

Bottom middle and bottom left corner: These two go together. This is my Books and TV/Movies Spreads. In the middle is MOVIES/TV. Right now, I have the DanTDM Tour disc, SoUE from Netflix (2nd season!!!!!WOOOOT) and JaM from Amazon (3rd season!!!!ALSOWOOOT). In the corner is BOOKS. Right now, all I have in the DanTDM book. XD Can you tell I'm a TeamTDM member?

Large photo: This is my MOOD TRACKER. The colors are, as follows: Gray--N/A, Orange--Happy, Pink--Mad, Purple--Tense, Blue--Sad, Green--Too Confused to Choose.

Next one up in a sec!

Ok, second spread go!

Middle: This is my MONTHLY SPREAD for JANUARY. This includes a monthly calendar, to-dos (get a new notebook?), notes, a book log, and a quote (Don't wait for the storm to pass, learn to dance in the rain--Unknown).

Right side middle: This is my WEEKLY SPREAD for JANUARY. (1/22-1/28) It includes a box for each day, a to-do box, a bookshelf/book log and a quote (If you fall, get back up and try again.--Unknown).

Top right corner: This is my MONTHLY BOOKSHELF! The only book is the DanTDM book right now… (Trayaurus and the Enchanted Crystal)

Left side middle: I decided to try a list format for my FEBRUARY MONTHLY SPREAD. I don't think I like it very much…

Bottom right corner: This is my THINGS TO ADD spread. This is things to add to my journal.

Top middle: SWATCH TEST spread!

I have a period tracker* here, but I'd rather not show it as that is quite personal.

Bottom left corner: Then I have my GIFT GIVER AND WISHLIST SPREAD. On the right is my Wishlist: gifts I want. On the left is my Gift Giver: gifts I want to give.

Bottom middle: A FEBRUARY WEEKLY SPREAD. The little cups are for water tracking.

Top left corner: The final, and my favorite spread, I got off Pinterest. I call it the “I'M DONE” SPREAD. This is a list of everything I want to STOP doing. For example, I'm done being shy.

The list goes like this: I'm done…

Being talked down to.

Being intimidated.

Bring forgotten or brushed over.

Getting last places in competitions for dance.

Being afraid to try new things.

Being shy.

Conforming.

Controlling what I say and do for who's around (to a polite extent).

That's all I have so far. Thanks to Leeli and September for ideas!!! :D

*--If you don't know what this is, I'm not going to tell you. Girls, that's a conversation for your mom, not me. ♡ Good luck.

Wow, this seems so cool! Some of it actually seems a bit like the daily to-do lists I write to help stay focused on tasks. Maybe this will help me, too! Do you guys have any tips for getting started on a bullet journal?

I suggest looking at pictures of different spreads either on here or online to get a feel for them. Also, I wrote out answers to some questions Starseeker had about Bullet Journals on Page Four that might help you.

I saw this thread when I had sixteen pages left in my old journal! I finished it today, and went to Powell’s to buy a bullet journal! It’s blank inside. I’ve decided to do monthlies and dailies but not weeklies, to make it more of a diary with some calendars and trackers. Any ideas on decorating the (plain blue, small inlaid design on back) cover? Alright, off to number all my pages and make a February spread!

I don't understand how you do that, September! It's so pretty and neat! Your script and handwriting are gorgous.

I want to get a bullet journal, but I don't know where and how...

Well, first look around your house. Do you have any blank notebooks? They can be lined, grid, dotted, blank...all up to your preference!

The "official" bullet journal is the Leuchtturm 1917. But I find the pages too thin, and I see ghosting in images. I don't like that.

Right now, I am using a lined notebook from Peter Pauper Press. But I would like a heavy GSM, dotted notebook.

Also, it doesn't have to be like $30 for it to be okay! If you find a little cheapy notebook in a clearance section for example, and you like it but it's only $1.50, GO AHEAD.

Well, my rants over. XD

Wow, that's so funny! I've had a Leuchtturm 1917 before, just as a journal, but they're too expensive because I go through notebookes really quickly. And right now, one of my usual notebooks is a PPP notebook!
