Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

Personal Poetry

Personal Poetry

a.k.a.

Poetry by moi,

Yours Truly

Critique and/or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I.

Stop sitting down,

don’t take a rest,

Do anything and everything you can to protest.

Protest the injustice,

The glances,

And no one should be

Telling oppressed masses

how to not lobby for equal

rights and justice.

Don’t focus on your

Own right to gaining wealth,

You have it

Don’t lean on that privilege, use it.

For voices unheard,

for stories unshared and

uncared for

’till diverse is the norm

and people don’t care

what you look like

your birthplace,

your love.

II.

Equal rights is only half the equation,

Next stop the “Other” that infects the populations.

Nothing is more powerful

than knowledge and compassion.

Pick up a book on the Constitution,

the Revolution,

an environmental pollution solution.

and apply it to our situation,

the second side of the equation.

III.

Listen to my words

and hear the meaning

behind them.

consider all views before

making core generalizations

With that, I close.

I love it! I did notice that the beginning seemed to be rhyming but then nothing else was? Anyway, it's great!
