The Greatest Showman!!

The Greatest Showman!!

I'm actually quite surprised that no one has talked about this--if they have I didn't see the post. So anyways....

~WARNING: EXTREMEME FANGIRL RANT AHEAD. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK~

OMGOODNESS-I absolutely LOVED this movie!!!! The music is amazing--I really didn't think I was going to like it when I first watched it, but MAN! This movie was GOOD!!!!

My favorite songs are Tightrope, and Rewrite the Stars--but like I said, all of them were amazing!!! If you haven't seen it yet, you should totally go watch it, or at least listen to the music!! I promise it will be worth your time!!

Who else has seen this movie? Admins, have you seen it?

What did you guys think? Feel free to comment about it below, what you liked, what you wish could have been better, what your favoirite song/part is, etc.

Also, what other movies are you excited about coming out this year?

Yes, I saw it. My friends and I loved it! We didn't even know that it was a musical before we went.

Ahhh!! Yes!! I was just going to post about this!

My favorite song was definitely Rewrite the Stars. That scene was so cool! And, Zendaya and Zac Efron said in that scene there were some close-calls when they were like, on the rope and jumping and stuff. THAT WAS SO COOL! Also, the so-called *cough* relationship between Barnum and Jenny whatsherface, was NOT TRUE! My sister read an article that said in the same year, Lincoln was shot, but Barnum and Jenny were on the front page. Ain’t that funny? But otherwise, I liked it enough, but I didn’t like it as much as I thought I would. So, the movies I’m looking forward to are Antman and Wasp!!! I can’t wait for Wasp! I’ve been waiting for this for, what, my whole life? I have yet to see Antman, but I really want to!

Also, random quiestion, Admins (if this is ok to ask) what state do you live in? Thanks!

I live in Illinois.

YESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYES

I got so angry the other day! I learned that my best friend's friend (if that makes any sense) was IN the movie! She was one of the ballerinas!

My favorite song is The Other Side, but I like all of them! This movie is my new favorite! Seriously!

Another movie I'm exited for is coming out in a few days! It's called Every Day, and it's based off a book.

I haven't seen The Greatest Showman, but it sounds really cool and I love musicals, so I'm considering checking it out.

Like Allie, I'm excited for Every Day, but mostly, I'm SO SO SO HYPED for Love, Simon!! I really really want to go see it when it comes out, and the trailers look amazing. I've been trying to avoid spoilers until I can see it/read the book.

Ohhh, it was really good! My favorite songs are “never enough” and “the other side”. I actually did make a thread about this but it was over a month ago so no one would probably remember it. I actually feel like we’ve hyped it up since we’ve saw it - my family left thinking, “oh, that was really good”, and by now it’s turned into “OH MY GOSH IT  WAS THE BEST MOVIE EVER”. So, not sure how that really happened, but now all my friends want to go see it. Did you know that the music was written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the same people who wrote Dear Evan Hansen and La La Land? And it was also orchestrated by Alex Lacamoire, who orchestrated DEH, Hamilton, In the Heights, and Wicked?!? It is not often that you get someone who fangirls over orchestrations, of all things, but hear I am, very excited about it!

I haven't seen The Greatest Showman, but I have heard some of the songs. One of my friends at gymnastics convinced the coaches to use a playlist comprised almost entirely of musical soundtracks and mid 2000s pop songs, and it's been playing for the last 2 months XD. I'm considering watching it!

As for movies I'm excited for, I have to say Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Gridelwald. I loved Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, so I cannot wait for the sequel! Unfortunately it doesn't come out until the fall. :( I'll be waiting a while more.

I watched the movie last night, actually! I loved it, but I don't know if it quite lives up to all the hype. All of my friends love this movie, though I was a little skeptical. For one, Hugh Jackman. Now, I love Hugh Jackman, but not his singing. I was not impressed by his performance in Les Mis (his acting was phonomenal, his singing, not so much), so I was a little skeptical about the songs, but it sounded much better! It's amazing what you can do with someone's voice when they're not singing live for the camera. I was also a little skeptical about the whole circus concept, since I've never been a fan of freak shows and that type of thing, but it was very well done. The movie was also very visually pleasing; I really liked all the colors, and the clothes and things like that. I think my favorite song was "A Million Dreams". I wish the the relationship between Zendaya and Zac (I can't remember what the names of their characters are in the movie) would have been a little bit better. They're both great actors, but the relationship felt a bit forced. I wish they would have spent more time in the movie on them and their romance. But overall, the acting was fantastic and the movie was very well done.

There's so many movies coming out this year I'm excited for... The Incredibles 2, Hotel Transylvania 3, Infinity War, Fantastic Beasts, Ready Player One... the list could go on.
