Cypher/code thread

I enjoy making and cracking codes and cyphers, and that some CBrs would like it too.

Rules: Any sort of a code or cypher is fine

it needs to be crackible

please tell how hard it is

The key is "NAPOLEON". It's a cipher. It's not terribly difficult.

@Admins umm isn't there a rule about not being allowed to post codes because the Admins don't have the time to decipher them?

Sadly, yes. We're going to close this thread because we don't have the manpower right now to check each cipher. --Admin

Oh, sorry. My cipher said EXILED ON ELBA, because the key was NAPOLEON.

We're not posting more coded messages, but since yours is up, we're posting this solution.

Quick explanation, then, of how that cipher worked: I can’t remember what it’s called (if you know help me out), but it’s a bit like a Caesar cipher, but more secure. You take the keyword and put it in front of the alphabet, with double letters removed, and with letters of the keyword removed from the alphabet. Then write a regular alphabet above it.

ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

NAPOLEBCDFGHIJKMQRSTUVWXYZ

So E becomes what’s below it, L, and X becomes what’s below it, which is X, and I becomes D, and so on. It can only be deciphered by people who know the keyword, which is relatively easy to remember.

(My apologies for any weird formatting, I’m doing this on mobile.)
