Disney is movie-fying Elton John and Tim Rice's Aida.
Their *brilliant* casting choices? *Beyonce* as AIDA? Christina Aguilera as AMNERIS? *splutters*

*Christina* *Aguilera* is going to MURDER a role originated by Sherie Rene Scott.
To say nothing of *Beyonce*. Beyonce! As AIDA. DO YOU UNDERSTAND HOW CRITICALLY *WRONG* THAT IS?! Do you?! She can't even SING. She certainly can't ACT.
*Christina* *Aguilera* is going to try to sing "My Strongest Suit" and act AND try to pass as Egyptian at the same time. *head explodes*
I mean, for crying out loud, why not just get SRS to do it instead? Doesn't look Egyptian, not by a long shot, but at least she can sing. And act!
I'm certainly praying that Adam Pascal, at least, gets to reprise his role (as he did in the movie version of Rent). I loooove Adam Pascal.

She's playing the Red Queen in the new Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland. 'stupid fake tag line:' Really creepy movie, just got a whole lot creepier. :) I can't imagine what'll be in it. I don't think I want to see it.
Johnny Depp is the Mad Hatter. Boy does he look creepy.
