What if we

Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

What if we

What if we could bring Blab About Books to Pudding's place?

I mean, like, write a play that is based on a book.

So, what's a book we've all read, or all have access to? I would love to do the Green Ember, but i doubt everyone has read it.

@PygmyOwl, ooh, Septimus Heap is one of my favorites! That would be a cool one to do.

Also, if we're doing the video, there are a couple ways that might make it easier, we could probably finagle something with the NaNo classroom if everyone's on there.

I'd help! I don't animate but I've written a few scripts before.

I would love to write a scene! What book, though? I have a book in mind that I love, but I don't know if anyone else has read it.

I am on the NaNo classroom, and I agree that it would probably be easier to put together a movie from there than on the CB. I also think that there are already a lot of people who have said they would join in on this project, so we should probably just do us who have already commented on this thread.

I was also thinking (although please feel free to shout me down on this) that it might be nice to make this into a musical movie. Then, instead of having ten people working on one script, maybe a few people would work on lyrics, a few people would work on the music, a few people would work on the speaking script, etc.

Additionally, I would like to say that I would not be able to work on the animating, but I would be okay with doing any other part of this. I also have some software that would be good for creating the starting and ending credits, if anyone is interested in that.

That sounds like a great idea! I don't write music, but if anyone does that would be awesome. So would we have people singing as well as speaking the lines?

Also @Admins, I noticed you edited my last comment :)

Yes, we aim to avoid anything that may lead CBers to sites beyond our control.

@Admins, alrighty! Thanks for explaining!

I can do music possibly, if garage band will work. And I have also written several plays, so I can help with that if needed. I am going to top my thread about nano on chirp so if you are not part of the classroom you will find the join code there.

I could do some viola and clarinet music and help with the script. Please note that, although I enjoy doing it, I'm not an incredible composer; all music will be only for viola or clarinet because I don't have anyone else to write for (which is annoying but should work); I've only been doing clarinet for about 1 year and 2 for viola; and I'm not on NaNo. However, I should be able to if you think I could do something. I write poetry so I could probably help with the lyrics, although I know that poetry and lyric writing are different things and would rather do instrumental or script. Admins, though, do you know how we'd be able to post the music? That could be complicated.

No, I don't know. I'm sorry.

Okay, so what I think we should do is get everybody who is going to do this onto the NaNo classroom. The link to NaNoWriMo YWP itself is https://ywp.nanowrimo.org/ (we are allowed to post links to NaNo, right Admins?). After you sign up, you should be able to click a link on your dashboard that says something like "Join A Classroom." If you do not see that link, you can go to the navigation bar at the top of your page, click where it says "My Groups," and then "View all Classrooms." Then you should be able to input the classroom code. It is RGLCGPPK.

Then, when everyone has joined the classroom, we can start to figure out how this is going to work.

Sorry for being so detailed, probably everything that I said is either easy to figure out, or on Mahriel's thread (http://www.cricketmagkids.com/chatterbox/chirpatcricket/node/441589). I like explaining things, if you can't tell that already. :)

The link to NaNo young writers is OK. I think that's the only link outside of Chatterbox that we'll post.

I'd like to add one more thing, and then I'll be done.

For people who do not have NaNo accounts and will not be able to get one, you probably won't be able to help with the sound and animations in the movie, unless you figure out a way to post audio, which seems unlikely. However, you could still help with writing the script.

Okay, I'm done now.

Yeah, I just realized that... I'll help with the script. I also don't really have a good microphone and am not good at performing for other people.

Maybe on the YWP Classroom we could ask Mice to make a topic specifically for this project? It might be less confusing if we have a specific place for it.
