Hi guys!!! Okay, so basically here's what this thread is-
Its a competition, to see who can write the best song to the topic that the judge puts up. You don't simply write lyrics, though, you write lyrics to a song melody most people know! This song will always be chosen by the judge at the same time the theme is chosen.
Ok!!! Sooooo for the first song, I live in California, and I know a lot of states and countries listen to different songs. So I put in some research, and here's the first song melody....

Because I was vibing to this earlier so why not? Of course, in this competition I will not make you write lyrics to the ENTIRE song, so just from the second "strangers waiting up and down the boulevard" all the way up until the end of the first chorus (the last line being the second "hold on to that feeling")

Actually, I came up with my own song, but I doubt it would be allowed to be posted. I will participate in this contest, but can I just have it so you can use whatever tune you want?

The reason I want to do whatever tune you want is because i have never heard of that song or heard it. If I have heard it, I don't know which song it is.

Probably not, because the judge would have to listen to multiple songs to judge and it would take a while. We're gonna stick to this song, you can look it up on any music app and it is age appropriate. I will change the song if more than one person doesn't know it/hasn't heard of it.
