Tech Crew??

Tech Crew??

Has anybody ever done Tech Crew in a play?? (lighting, sound, scenery, etc.) My school is doing Willy Wanka and the Chocolate Factory and I'm too nervous to actually act in it, so I was thinking about doing Tech Crew. The choir teacher, Mrs. Wind, says she needs lots of help, and one of my good friends is doing Tech Crew and I think it would be really fun to do. I'm pretty sure I would like it and I want to do it, but it would be nice to hear the CB'ers opinions. Help? Advice? Please!

Sorry Emma I don't know anything about tech crew.  I would much rather act so I've never thought about doing it.  I think you should try it!

Cheers

Thanks, Charlotte. I've decided that I am going to do it. Four or five of my friends are auditioning or  want to be on Tech Crew, so I'm hoping it'll be a lot of fun! I'm not guaranteed a spot on Tech Crew, but it's very likely. Wish me luck! *fills out form* *gives reference sheets to various teachers* *gets mom to sign it* *is ready to turn it in*

Are you on Tech Crew now? I was going to be for Aladdin, then I was picked as an actor instead.

Tech crew as in lighting or effects? Sound scool, but I'd rather act. I don't know much about technology.

@Brynne: who did you play?

Well, I turned the form in, but the drama/choir/computers teacher/director, Mrs. Wind, picks if you make Tech Crew or not. She looks at your grades and reference forms your teachers fill out and then makes the decision. I'm hoping, since I have a 4.0 and, as far as I know, my teachers like me, that I'll get it. My friend should too, as she's the same way as me... Smart, kiss up student! Just kidding. Anyway, I hope I get it!

I'm a citizen. First I sell eggs, and then for some random and unexplained reason I sell scarves, and then I don't sell anything, I just randomly wander around. I have a cool dance with some of the other citizens, though. It's fun. And random. :)

My brother does it a lot! (not as much as he is actually acting)  My advice is try to to setting stuff.  Ooh try NOT to do lights because normally you have to put the spotlight on your knee, and it HURTS!!!!!

Sorry . . . Yeah, I'm on tech crew with two three of my good friends! There'll be three "Emma"'s in the play and all of them happen to be in band! Oh, and we're in three different grades, which is how many my school has! Weird! One, an eighth grader, is acting (and is in band with me and calls me and my BFF (who isn't in the play at all) her Emma Buddies) and I (the seventh grader) am on tech crew along with my friend (but not BFF and fellow Emma Buddy) who's a sixth grader! Sorry if that confuses you . . . *rambles*

No, it wasn't too confusing! What exactly are you going to do on Tech Crew?

And about the people having the same name, that's really funny! Out of 30 people involved in Aladdin, there are two Bens, an Ally and an Ali (same pronunciation), two Andrews, and three Dakotas! And they're all acting except for two of the Dakotas.

I've done it! I did it in Pinocchio just a couple weeks ago. It was totally fun, cuz I got to run lines and dances, and tell people when to get ready, etc. It was totally fun, and totally easy. Plus, if anybuggy gets sick, you can fill in, cuz you already know their lines!
