Ski Lodge
*Warning: This is a typical ski lodge, in which there will be a murderer who slowly ticks off the other people. Some people will die, but there will only be mild descriptions of death and no gore. If these things bother you, I would recommend clicking off the thread.*
You sit on your bed, a book resting on your crossed legs. You stare out the window, where little waterfalls of crystal drops streak down the glass, lit by moonlight. The constant drumbeat of rain on the roof is soothing, along with the soft rumblings of thunder. You open up your book, which is an exciting fantasy tale, filled with adventure and mystery and begin to read. You jump as a quiet tapping comes from your window. You glance up, looking towards the clouded pane of glass. At that moment, lightning flashes and in that split, bright, glowing second, you see a face in the window, with black, empty eyes. Then the window bursts open. You fall off your bed, a failed attempt to leap off. You press your back against the side of the bed, the wood frame digging into your spine. Your breath comes in rapid gasps, almost drowned out by the pounding rain. Something lands beside you and you start to scramble away, then realize it’s an owl. A fluffy, brown barn owl sits beside you, a small bag around its neck. It hoots quietly and ruffles its feathers, tilting its head. Slowly you reach out and touch the bag. It suddenly falls off the owl’s neck easily and drops into your hand. The owl hoots approvingly and in a burst of feathers, it swoops over your head. You stand up just in time to see the owl fly out the window. The window slams shut behind it. You blink, not sure if that really just happened. You carefully open the small leather bag. Inside is a diamond shaped gemstone and a tiny rolled up piece of paper. You set the jewel carefully on your bed and unroll the paper.

Name: Pangolin
Pronouns: she/they
Appearance: I'm slightly taller than average and slender, with a fairly feminine
appearance. Wavy copper hair reaches just past my shoulder blades. I
have tanned skin and freckles, and a straight nose slightly tipped at
the end. My eyes can change color drasically depending on the lighting.
For this I will be wearing a black long-sleeved ribbed top, rust-colored
corduroy pants, and black high top converse.
Personality: I am thoughtful, logical, and quiet, and a self-declared nerd. I am an
outcast, and am often alone, but rarely lonely. I am often found
daydreaming about going on an adventure, writing, drawing, reading, or
spending way too much time on school assignments. I am adventurous,
mischievous at times, creative, quick-witted, and have a slightly dark
sense of humor.

I haven't joined a ski lodge in too long, so here we go
Name: Artemis
Pronouns: she/her
Appearance: tall and pointy-eared, with light skin and longish dark hair and round glasses. I like wearing combat boots.
Personality: ah, who even knows these days? I'm awfully introverted and anxious irl. internally I'm contemplative, violently bookish, and generally rather melancholy. I like to think I'm funny. I have a rather deadpan sense of humor.
What’s in your bag?: a book, essentials, a deck of playing cards in case anyone is willing to teach me poker, a magically unloseable pen, a polaroid camera, and a guitar that I can play very badly.
If you could transform into any woodland animal, what would it be and what would you look like?: a red-winged blackbird. Black with red (and yellow) wings. I'm not sure if they come in any other colors.

Name: CelineBurning Bright, Celine, CeCe, or Burning, whichever works best

Appearance: a bit on the shorter side, but more average? Very skinny (sometimes my arms look like toothpicks even to me!), long black hair with bangs that are swept aside, thick brows and lashes, dark, thoughtful, expressive eyes that kiss at the corners, can move very gracefully. Wearing dark blue jacket, long sleeve shirt, leggings, sneakers. No makeup or jewelry. Unless you want to give me a necklace/bracelet.
Personality: I'm kind of like a walking contradiction? Shy, but lively and passionate. Willing to speak up for what's right. Thoughtful and always questioning everything around me. Easily excitable/impressed, always eager to share and learn. A self proclaimed weirdo. Love to stand out on my own terms (even though I'm kinda painfully shy, Ik... maybe I'll just be not shy at all for this if it's easier). Very nosy and always has to know what's going on. Can be serious, good sense of humor, knowledgeable, but someone a bit of a know-it-all.
What's in your bag? What bag? If anyone's ever read The Mysterious Benedict Society... all I need is my trusty ol' jacket! It's got lots of large, spacious pockets, and let's make it magical (if that's allowed?) cause why not? If anyone's ever read The Lost Hero (HoO!), kinda like Leo's toolbelt (and while we're comparing book characters, also the bag from Half Upon A Time), no added weight, always enough space, always knows what you need! I've got a change of clothes, toiletries, my watch, a gigantic pile of books, a camera to take pictures, a notebook and pen, and... how bout a necklace that's magical that can summon... something? Control something? Passed down from my ancestors. Scratch what I said about no jewelry, I'm wearing this necklace!
Woodland creature: ooh, this one's hard... excuse me while I go research all the woodland creatures! Hmm... a bear? A moose? A deer? A badger? A skunk? A raccoon? ARGHHH... Let's go with squirrel! A bright-eyed, curious, bushy-tailed squirrel, intelligent eyes, quivering nose, tawny brown with streaks of silver. Curved, wickedly sharp, nifty claws.
Favorite color: the color of the ocean when the sun plays on its surface
Raven/crow: it seems everyone's doing ravens so far... so maybe a crow? It IS CROWild and The CROWkeeper after all. Where are the owls in all of this? Ig I would rather be a murder of crows than an unkindness of ravens (poor ravens! What did they ever do?). And, anyways, Morrigan Crow!!

Appearance: average height, long blonde hair, freckles, large round glasses that hardly fit my face. My trademark outfit is oversized baggy cargo jeans, an overized t-shirt (mostly band t-shirts) and a turtleneck sweater for when the wind gets to me.
Personality: Nerdy, socially anxious with certain people but can be an overflowing fountain when with people I like, always belting musicals, needs lots of time alone to recharge, in which I will usually be listening to music and reading. I love shakespeare and I suppose I'm a good friend most of the time. I don't really know how to talk to people but as soon as we discoer a similar interest I will rant about the topic
