~Pangolin~

Waves slam against the cliffs, again and again, sending a constant spray of sea water. The sky is gray with pre dawn light, and a figure is outlined against the sky. Hair blown back from the sea breeze, Pangolin stands firmly at the edge of the cliffs, watching the outlines of noisy seagulls dipping and diving over the wavy ocean. Clothes flapping in the salty wind, she takes a deep breath and slowly lets it out. Their eyes close, long lashes fluttering. Tense hands relax as a power courses through her body. She smiles quietly to their self, and opens her eyes. They then silently count down in their mind. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6.... At the edge of the horizon, the sun bursts over and lightens the sky, filling it with streaks of pink and gold, the rest turning blue. The light shines on Pangolin, who bows her head,  absorbing the sun's rays and silently thanking the return of the light. As the sun steadily rises higher, Pangolin, head still bowed, shimmers and then slowly vanishes in a soft golden glow.

I'm not sure where this came from, but it did! I hope you liked it :)

ooh I love this so much!! Your writing is gorgeous, and the imagery is so beautiful and vivid. The whole concept is really cool, and I love how the last line adds mystery and magic to the written picturing. I really like the setting too; I love the sea and watching the sunrise. Thank you so much, Hawkstar!!

*Sinusoidal*

The sun beat down mercilessly on the hot savannah planes, scorching the few plant and making heat rise in waves to form mirages. Few animals are out in the open right now, most huddle at the watering hole, or otherwise take cover in the foresta little ways off, or make do with the shade from an occasional tree. Under the largest tree, a pride of lions dozed, tails flicking, mothers scolding cubs. Near the trunk, though, not a lion rested, but a boy. His tanned chest rose and fell, and his hand rested on the head of the pride leader. The leader nuzzled the boy, rowsing him. The boy, Sinusoidal, opened his eyes and yawned, stretching, shaking his shoulder length wild hair like a mane. It was light brown in color, with streaks of gold from the long days in the sun. The large lion beisde Sinusoidal had been his lifelong friend, and their bond was close. Flopping on top of the lion, Sine laughed as the leader gave him a lick with his rough tongue. Sine tugged at his hand made shorts, and then buried his face in the lion's mane. Rumbling, the lion stood, Sinusoidal still on his back, and padded away from the other lions into the sun. He shook his mane, then took off at a run. The boy held on to the lion's mane, his own hair streaming back, knowing that he was getting much to big for the lion, but in that instant, not caring. The wind played over the two bodies as they ran in the mirage fantasy's, friends forever.

Hope you liked it! I believe that the 'lion' part of your old name will be forever stuck to me and put to you whenever I read you around ;D

I'd like one! Moon Wolf, she/her

( Moon Wolf (

Night had fallen, and the stars twinkled coldly in the winter sky. At first, these where the only lights, but slowly, the full wolf moon rose into the sky. The snow on the ground that had been pretty and white, was now dazzling and hard to look at where no shadows lay. The forest and mountains where quite in this cold night, for now, but not for long. There, a branch shook snow onto the ground as a figure in the shadows jumps down from the tree. The form darts around shadow to shadow, and then steps into the moonlight, quickly running up a slope and then to the edge of a cliff. It was a girl, with loving ebony hair the shined in the light. Delicate and yet worn features are on the face. Clear eyes that show great wisdom, a knowing smile, and an air of kindness and timeless youth. The girl looks at the large wolf moon, and then clasps her rough, callused hands together. Then she opens her mouth, and lets out a crisp, clear, hauntingly beautiful, ahrooooooooo! She pauses, and cocks her head, as though listening, before letting out another call. This time, one, no, three, wait, seven slightly different howls echo back to the girl, some closer than others. From the forest a wolf loops over to the lovely moon girl, stopping by her side. The wolf child puts a hand lightly on the pack leader's back, feeling safe beneath the cold wolf moon.

I hope you like it! Your name inspired this story very easily, and I REALLY enjoyed writing it.

§Amethyst§

The city was dirty, dull colored, and full of angry loud noises. People yelled at each other on their way past one another, pigeons angrily bomb dived screeching cats and yaping dogs. Horns blared as cars slow inch through traffic, each driver late to a meeting, appointment, pick up time, and show. And though the city seemed to be this way everywhere, there was one spot where one could make color. A girl leaned out a yellow trimmed window, frowning at the streets below. With a huff, she withdrew, and disappeared from view only to appear on the fire escape on the side of the tall apartment. Her gold streaked brown hair rippling in a slight breeze, Amethyst began climbing up. The sky was cloudy, but no hint of rain was in them. Her bright blue eyes servade the sky and then opened the door that was in front of her, and stepped onto the roof. Color exploded here. Colorful flowers in pot were spread artfully around the roof, with smaller fruit and flower trees in bigger pots. Here, life was bright, and it was Amethyst's favorite place in the dismal city. Grabbing a hose, she turned it on and started to spray the petunias and chrysanthemums, then turning to the violets. The plants Amethyst watered seemed to grow an flourish in front of her eyes. Through the cloud, the sun burst thought he dark, and she sprayed the water upward, sprinkling herself, creating a rainbow of joy in the air.

I hope you liked it! I loved writing this one. Turns out, written pictures aren't as hard as I thought they would be!
