Striking Line Poem

Striking Line Poem

This can be done two ways as I see it, either as a contest with a poem (in which anyone can choose whichever line) or a striking line (in which case everyone uses the same line) where the best interpretation or poem or use of the striking line wins (basically just the poetry contest but with a striking line so different), or like the word game/typing game which is where someone writes a poem, someone writes a striking line off of that one, someone writes a striking line off of that one, and so on... I like both ways but Idk. The first would be cool to see everyone's interpretations but the second one would be faster and also cool, with more poems...

ANYWAYS! So how this goes is, for example:

The town was cold in the morning,

Dew clothed the grass like a veil,

Fog cloaked the houses like a screen,

Mist enclosed the whole village like

It wasn't meant to be there,

Wasn't meant to be seen...

random poem it's horrible sorry. So from there I choose one line. Let's go with "It wasn't meant to be there" because I'm picking randomly. Then you write it out like this;

It

Wasn't

Meant

To

Be

There

And add on like an acrostic!

It felt like I was a ghost, invisible, never supposed to walk the earth, like I

Wasn't just like you, just like everyone here,

Meant for some greater purpose, even if the greater purpose was a small one,

To help others or to

Be brave. It felt like I simply wasn't

There.

This isn't that great either but if you guys get the gist? Careful on the "I"s and "A"s though, in this case they're words, not letters, and pls treat them as so! Maybe bold the words you took, and the poem can be connected to the line or just have it, doesn't matter (unless maybe if we're doing a contest, you guys decide if we are idk, if you want to do this?).

Sorry, I made it really vague, but I was asking if you guys wanted to do a contest or game? Or both? Or none? Or something else?
