You are the only one on the train. The other passengers departed far earlier, leaving the railcar empty and silent except for the whistle of the tracks. There is nothing for you to do in your sparsely-decorated carriage besides staring out the window at the rolling green hills around you, so that is exactly what you do. The scenery is quite beautiful, autumn foliage painting the mountains in shades of orange and scattering a carpet of color onto the grass.
Before long, the train slows to a halt. An attendant opens the carriage door and waves to you. "This is the last stop," they tell you. "Do you know where you're going from here?"
You nod, picking up your bags and exiting the train, breathing in the crisp, clear air of the countryside. It tastes of earth and cinnamon. The train quickly pulls away from the tiny station and continues down the track, leaving only smoke behind it. Its haste strikes you as odd, but you brush it off. You don't actually know exactly where you're going, but the letter that brought you here had a map printed on it, so you reach into your pocket. The burnished scarlet envelope holds a sheet of aged paper, which you unfold to peruse for directions.
Dear Friend,
I hope this letter finds you well, and if it does not, my condolences. Have you ever heard of the Baneberry Lodge? Likely not, it is something of a hidden gem around these parts. Fall in the country is particularly beautiful, is it not? Every year the Baneberry Lodge hosts an autumn writing and art retreat to which select few guests are invited for a week of inspiration and relaxation. You are reading this because you have received one of these extremely coveted invitations. If you choose to accept, you will find the event's dates, a guest form, and a map to the Lodge attatched to this message. We look forward to seeing you here at Baneberry Lodge!
There is no signature or return adress, but there is indeed a map, list of dates, and form alongside the letter. The form is quite curious, marked at the top with a message of "please complete before your arrival":

Are you superstitious?: if you mean do I believe in fairies, then oc! Life is indeed dull if you don't believe in such magical things as fairies (not the Disney ones, not the mischievous ones, not the naughty ones, the magical ones, remember!), and it's all the better if you do! :)
Are you a trusting person?: not particularly. Open-minded, sure, but trusting? Not as much.

Long, slender and quick fingers. Ears are small and have slight points. Usually dressed in brown gray tunic, forest green leggings and a brown, long, hooded cloak. bare foot in warm seasons, booted in cold weather. Has a braided leather belt with sheaved hunting knife. Either has a wooden staff, or a bow and quivver full of arrows. Never both. Is very handy with both weapons

Appearance: Asian, tousled hair, rumpled and too big sweatshirt and pants, just has a very soft, bright, airy aura around him
Personality: kinda lazy, very patient, likes to just lay in the sun and go with the flow, loves to bake and cook, very loyal and takes care of all my other AEs, likable, doesn't really have extreme emotions, honestly doesn't really feel emotions. Idk how to explain. Like he knows it's there and how he should feel, he just doesn't actually feel it. If that makes sense? Very considerate and caring.
