Julie & Julia

Julie & Julia

 ~~~~~~
So, who's seen it?  I just watched it last night, and really liked it.  I especially liked how real the characters seemed.  They were very believable, in my opinion.  I loved the colors, and compositions, and the reactions, and the way Meryl Streep acted when she got her cookbook published, and the way Amy Adams acted with the lobster!!!  Haha, it was good.
And that Julia Child didn't like Julie Powell.  I mean, I know how heartbreaking it must have been for Julie, but somehow it seems more real, you know?  Ok, enough of my views on the movie, I want to hear yours!!!
Cheers (yes, I'm stealing this from lav),
Lola  (don't ask, it's too long an explanation)
A MONTH AGO?????????  But... but... WE got it from Netflix, and when we had searched it before, they didn't have it yet!!!  No fair!!!!  We must have a mixed up account... or we checked it longer ago than I thought.........
Anyway, glad no one disagrees with me yet.  :)
MY mom really wanted to see it forever too!  Ha, we have a lot in common. :)  We really wanted to see it in the theater... I also wanted to see Coco Avant (before) Chanel in the theater, but....  Well, at least I get to see it at all.  That reminds me, I need to put it in our queue.  :)  (which I just did)  (I love how fast it is.  Don't you love that you can watch movies instantly too?  I just re-watched Ballet Shoes this afternoon)  :)
(Zoe R. says: rurk.  Hmm... 'Real Umpires Read Keats'??  That rather goes against what she said before...... :P )
Oh I've seen Ballet Shoes! It's pretty good. There are two versions actually. I've only seen the newer one. Did you know that Emma Watson is in it? She plays Pauline Fossil.
Yes!  I like her.  :)  Don't you think Posy is annoying?  In the best sense, of course.  :)  Um... what was I going to say....  Oh yah, I don't remember if I've seen the old one, but I think I might have, a looooooong time ago.  I don't remember it.  But I've read the book and really liked it.  :)
Oh, and I liked how her husband (Julie's) stayed with her (other than that one night), no matter how stressed she got, or how different she became, unlike the silly boyfriend in The Devil Wears Prada, another really good movie.  :)
I didn't think The Devil Wears Prada was very good, personally. Granted, I only saw half of it, but still...
Well, do you like Ugly Betty?  I do... in fact, we're going to watch some in a minute.  (but we get it on DVD, we don't have TV)  Yes, you need to have a certain taste for that kind of movie, plus, it does help to see all of it.  :)
Oh, but did you see at the end of the movie it said that apparently in RL they ended up getting divorced. :(
Oh, oh, oh I love that movie!!  I saw it a few days after it came out in the theater!  Met my satisfaction, it did. (: Amy Adams is one of my most favoritest actresses, so I especially liked it.  And Meryl Streep is wicked good at acting, too, sooo yeah.  Good movie.
