Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

Auditions!

Auditions!

So I tried out for Aladdin about two hours ago!  I think that the lady told me I got in.  She'll be calling me tomorrow to tell me if definitely I get in or not.  And if I get in then, on the eighth I will be going back to the theatre for rehearsal!!!!

I sang half of A Spoonful of Sugar while someone played the piano/keyboard with the sheet music I gave them.  She said she loved the song.  :D

Hopefully I'll get in.  I'll know for sure tomorrow, and I can't even wait.  If I wait one more minute for the answer I'll die.  *waits one more minute*  *dies*  *comes back to life*   Actually, I change my mind, I can wait.  Bu-ut, you probably know what I mean by 'I can't wait' thing. :D

Hmm, the anti-spam-guy of many names says 'wmrc'.  Worm Rice?  I'll name him Aragorn.  So Aragorn says 'wmrc.'

The first show is tomorrow!!!!  Rehearsal was about a fourtnight long...  21 cast people!  I think.

And carpet is different then planned.  Holding a fancy blanket on the corners and waving it around so it looks like it's floating.   The person who plays Sultan is also the set guy, and he wasnt there last night, and people were watching and...  They forgot to close curtains and switch something around so the T and R (Aladin and Jasmine) could sit on a platform thing/the carpet thingie.  We had to lay it on the floor.   Not so bad.  At least they didn't forget to close the curtains on the why me reprise thingie.  The audience (four people) would have seen people dancing oddly and mouthing the words.  You see more when your in it more thean when you're not...

Yesterday was the last day. *lip tremble* There was real drama in it. Tyler's (Aladdin's) Mom wanted to be let in early to get a good seat, but the director wouldn't let her. And then his mom started to scream and called the cops. None of the police came. i wouldn't, if it were for a reason like that... Anmd she still wasn't let in early. So she made Aladdin leave. Jasmine started crying. Sultan was going to play Aladdin, and the directors son to play Sultan. But after fifteen minutes, he came back. While the director was giving the speech backstage before the show (she likes speeches) she and most of the cast were crying. i don't even think the audience knew about that...

And afterwards, we had a pizza party. Everyone took up two long tables and three round ones. We were in the arcade and the claw thing. And singing songs in rap sounding type beet thing in front of the place, with people watching us and probably thinking us a little weird. Silly string (from dallor general across the street) fights in the parking lot. i made a small green and blue stinky brain. And one of the guards yelled to complete strangers coming out of the pizza place "Bye! Hope you had a good timein Pantera's pizza!" She hurt my ears...

I can't wait 'till Saturday, when the next auditions are, then i'll see them again. Though maybe not Aladdin; his mom might not let him because of the... *See above*

Peter Pan auditions!  So I am trying out to be in Peter Pan at about three today.  My friends says he's gonna try out, but I don't know if he definitly is or not.  it's th sam theatre as Aladdin was in.  This time adults can audition.  In Aladdin the set guy had to be Sultan, and he was over eighteen (I think).  But he didn't audition.

Tell us how it goes! Wow, you have a lot of theater opportunities where you live. I only have about three a year in my town, and theater camp in the summer. I usually only get a part in one of the three plays, though... :)

I got in!  I am the maid...  With lines!  My sisters are faeries.

This theater is actually not in my town; it's about fiften minutes away.  The theater that is in my town also has about three (at the least) plays/musicals that I can try out for.  I was only in one there...

Tell more later!

The theater that is fifteen minutes away has more plays/musicals that kids are in. Blues Clues, Aladdin, Peter Pan, Annie. And the director who is directing most of the shows lets almost everyone into the shows she has. She does that because when she was in school she didn't get into a lote of plays but she enyoys acting. She wants kids who injoy it to get a very good chance to get into a show and have a lot of fun.
