You silly Admin!!!!!! What teacher do u like  better???

I think that Admin was just joking, Clair. We don't know either of your teachers. I think it's too bad that you have to choose between band and chorus. If you like music, you can benefit from both! Without knowing all the details of your situation, I'd say do band. Then maybe you can find another opportunity to sing such as in a church choir, community chorus, or a summer community muscial. I think learning to play an instrument in a band is a higher skill than singing. In band you'll learn to read music, and you can transfer that skill to singing on your own.

Or try asking if you could mostly be in band, but take the choir music home to study on your own and go to a few choir rehearsals? Would the chorus director or school allow that? It shouldn't hurt to ask.

Let us know what you decide.

The problem is that I don't know who my teachers will be next year because the band teacher is going to a different school, and the chorus teacher is most likley going to retire before next year. Admin (the 2nd one) I love band, and I agree that it is something that requires more skill, but then I will be the only girl from my this year class doing it...

Other Admin, (very funny!) I would get more solos in band, and yes I do like solos... *must think hard*

So far most signs point to band, but I do love singing

Either way, I'm sure you'll do great in whatever you do.

We're fine. To Olive: I think our third Admin just hasn't commented on this one, not having anything different to add.

I recommend band. There are lots of Choir and Musical camps out there (hello summer!) but band camps are hard to find. (I think) And ditto what Admin #2 said. (But that doesn't mean that no one likes you Admin #1! BTW, where's Admin #3? :-P) Laterz!

@Smile :P: Welllll, is there no one just around your town willing to teach voice or the instrument you play? Because if there is someone willing to teach you one or the other, then you can take a lesson for one thing from that teacher, and then take the lesson they aren't teaching you from your school. Does that make sense?

@ Hannah ~If I can find anyone willing to teach me voice then that would work perfectly. If not than I might have to give up on singing.(my this year music teacher want's me to continue band)

I'm in a pickle! (LoL)
