Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

Photography!

Photography!

Sooo I've always liked photography and owned several cheap little point and shoot cameras, but I never really took it too seriously.  But the other week, I went with my parents to Peaks Island, which is an island off of Portland (one of the only islands that has residents 365 days a year).  Out of the 93 photos I took on my parents camera (my last point and shoot died), I actually got two that I actually like.  I'll try to post them.

heart!+<3.JPG.jpg

ladybug.JPG.jpgugh the quality's not good.  They ARE good on my computer, though.  I guess BlogSpot decided to make them gross looking.

Anyway, I was happy with the [better quality] photos, so I decided to buy a [better quality] camera for this summer.  But since I'm kinda broke right now (I used all the money I've saved since I was little to buy myself a MacBook! yay!), I'm not getting an SLR or anything.  Instead, I'm getting the Canon PowerShot SX20. :) I'm happy.

Anyway, would y'all like to talk about your cameras and post pictures?  Where's your favorite place to take pictures (I like the Old Port in Portland, which kinda like a cool old city... Idk, Google a picture of it.  Brick buildings and roads, everything's brick)?

Kenzie-

When I grow up I want to become a Photographer! I have wanted to since the beginning of last year! Sometimes when I am having a good time I rush over to the camera to get a photo. I really want a camera of my own that I do not have to share with my family. Last year my parents gave me their old a camera, but when they got the new one, it didn't work as well, so I am still needing a camera!

Cool! :) You could start saving your money. I know Target has some cameras for pretty low prices. I hope you can get your own!

Actually, though, I am considering getting the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XS. Depending on how much money I can save and how much I can convince my parents to pay for as my "early birthday present"... Heh heh.

I love photography! Someday I'm going to buy a big, awesome black camera that takes fantabulous pictures. For now, I have to use my parents' point-and-shoot, but it works fine most of the time. Here's a picture of a cupcake with caramel frosting and a chocolate drizzle thing that my sista made-

And here's one of some chocolate Easter eggs that my sista and I made-

I'm hungry now. :)

Ya, not only are those good pics, those are good-looking treats!!  I have a beat-up camera, well, beat-up since my dad and sister took it while they climbed Mt. St. Helens.  And ever since then, it's scratched and doesn't work right.  But I'm the family photographer, so if you look through our pictures, there are rarely pics of me.  :)  But, that's okay.

Hahaha, same!!  My dad's always upset because there's no pictures of me, and I'm like, "Well, Dad, if you'd volunteer to take the pictures, then that would help..."  But I'm pretty ok with it, too.  I've never been a big fan of having my picture taken... Hahaha.. :)

HAHA!  :)  The only time that I'm not the one taking the pictures is when the pictures being taken are at an event that is all about me. :)

OH, I know!  Ever since I've gotten into photography, I've been dying to go to D.C.!  And now my friend (who I go on photoshoots with a ton) is going to D.C. this week, so I'm wicked jealous.

I love film photography. I take photograpy club at my school and we have a dark room Smile so I get to make my own prints.

Film photos are just about the best things in the world.  We have some really old antique cameras we use sometimes and I just adore the quality.  And my brother's printed photos in a dark room before. <3 <3 :)

Those are awesome photos! Just a question, anyone or Admins can answer this: How do you post photos on here? Because I'm considering posting some on here after my trip to Paris.

Remember, we don't allow any photos of people. I don't know how to post them, but some Chatterboxers do.
