Looking Glass Wars

Looking Glass Wars Soundtrack!

I love LGW (the book series by Frank Beddor), so I went to the website (the series title, 'the' included, is all that comes before the dot com) and looked around. I found the section with songs based on the first novel, so I listened to what was there, plus a bit more (as in the rest of some of the songs we couldn't hear all of on the website). I liked it (and I don't even listen to much music, so actually, the fact that any of these will cause me to just sit listening and not doing anything else counts more than it would for most people), and would reccomend it to those who enjoyed the LGW series. My favorite was probably "Thru the Looking Glass," but I also really liked "Puddles" and "Who Is Alyss?"... Has anyone else heard any of it?

Yay! It came! I listened to all of the full songs! And now I am going to talk about them, because I'm bored and excited!
To Another World: I liked this, even though there were some extremely forced lyrics near the end.

Wonderland: " ,"

Thru The Looking Glass: I love this! But I've already said that, and since I'd it heard all before, there wasn't much difference.

Burn The Clock (Burning in Wonderland version): Hilarious.

Puddles: See TtLG

Courier Heart: It isn't the sort of thing I would ever listen to at all ordinarily, but I ended up really liking it.

Mirror: I had no patience for this. It was all I could do not to just skip to the next song; it just bored me.

Deadly: " ,"

Looking Glass: Erm. I... don't remember which this was, but the score I thought was called Who Is Alyss is missing from the list of songs of the back of the CD, and I know I'd heard this, so I'll assume it's the same (I don't feel like checking) and say I really liked this, as I mentioned earlier.

Lullaby: Better than I expected. It wasn't one of my favorites or anything, but at the same time I can't really think of anything wrong with it, so it's probably just a matter of personal preferance.

Sea of Redd: See CH. I seem to like making references to things not at all similar to what I'm talking about: First Mirror to Deadly and now this. Still, if my opinion is the same and it saves time...

Shattered: This seems to basically be a musical version of a British commercial for LGW that I saw on the website (Are there many commercials for books in Britain, or just LGW?). It wasn't bad.

Lol, I know--- Shattered was like the summary on the website or something put to music. I know I'd heard it before somewhere...

Mirror was the Dodge-Alyss one, right?

On the topic of the books: Has anyone ever noticed how much Beddor loves sound effects?

Erm, never mind. Looking Glasss is Looking Glass (okay), and Who Is Alyss is what I said about Looking Glass.

Re: Sound effects: I didn't actually notice it much much until now, but I just opened Seeing Redd 4 times, to 4 different pages. 3 of those times, there were sound effects. So, yes. He definitely loves them.

First: Wow.  I didn't notice this thread until now.  Must have been JulNo...

Anyway, my favourite song is probably Thru the Looking Glass.  I like the violin (or something similar sounding to a violin)... And I like Lullaby...  And the song by Hypnogaja called Looking Glass.  I don't know if that is in the soundtrack, but I like it.  :D  PUddles is good, but I like TTLG more...

More later.  My sister wants to watch something...  Bye!

Yeah, I agree. Puddles was great, but I still prefer TTLG. Recently I was out in a pedal boat. That was interesting. It gave an entirely new meaning to "And if you want to get/where you want to go,/you have to run the other way, you know." It's interesting, because when you're literally having to direct your vehicle in the opposite way of your destination... Well, needless to say, I was reminded. I think I was somewhat annoying with my excessive humming the entire trip, and giving my directions in song form... But it was fun! ;)
