Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

OceanClan is being

OceanClan is being remade on Puddings Place! All old warriors, queens, kits, and apprentices who may have moved onto PP, please continue to post here! I guess that I will have to post the camp description and all that, so here it goes!

When you first enter, there is a tunnel made of low hanging trees, and the trees are surrounding the rest of the camp. The big stone ahead of you is the High Stone. To the right of the High Stone is the apprentices den. And to the left of the Stone, is the nursery. It's best to keep the young near the back of the camp, in case of invasion. Inside the apprentices den, there is a small tree trunk, so that they may eat and share tongues. In the nursery, there is a small spring connecting to the one in the Medicine Den. There are lots of soft moss, and there is a thick roof to protect them from rain. The walls are also very thick, so that kits can't explore on our island. The warriors den is a large clump of brambles, but if many join, we can always make it even bigger. The elders den is sort of hidden under the High Rock, so if anyone were to attack, there is at least one safe spot for the old and weak. The Medicine Cat's Den is the the left of the nursery, and it is rather large. It has a big herb storage, a good sized den for the sick, and a den in the back for a medicine cat. The med. cat apprentice will sleep in the same den as the med. cat. Behind the High Stone, is the leader's den. I hope that you will join, we need warriors, apprentices, queens, elders, and a medicine cat!!

I stood in the clearing with Leafpaw. I crouched down, showing her the hunters crouch. "Remember, mice hear you through the ground, so you have to remember to step lightly, like you weigh as much as a feather. "As much as a feather, as much as a feather. Ok, I think I got this." I set a leaf down in front of her, and she began to stalk it. Her tail was set just above the ground, and she stepped lightly with her paws. She was almost perfect, but she was moving just too quickly. "Leafpaw, you are an amazing hunter, but you are moving too quickly. You must move fast, but not too fast. Then you might scare the prey. Hey, what better way to practice than with the real thing?" We walked out into the forest, and went to the best hunting spot. "There's a mouse, remember what I said!" I backed off, and Leafpaw almost blended in. The mouse was building his nest. It was a nice plump mouse, probably enough to feed the whole clan. She stalked it perfectly, and then, at about a tail-length away, she pounced and killed it with a single blow.

I looked up as Leafpaw walked in. "Hey great catch, Leafpaw!"

"Leafpaw, would you like to do a patrol with me?" "Yes!!! Can Stormpaw come too? He hasn't had much training." I thought about it, and went to ask Snowstar. "Snowstar, can Stormpaw come and do a patrol with me?" She agreed, and the three of us set out. We walked along the beach, through the forest, caught some voles, and visited the Ghost Tree. It seemed like a habit of mine to go there. "Oceanfur?" "Yes Leafpaw?" "Why do you always come here?" "Yeah, why?" I told them to lay down and put there noses against the tree. For each cat it's different, but sometimes you could see your past and a bit of your future. "This is where StarClan is at it's strongest, and this is where I feel drawn to." As soon as I put my nose against the tree, it felt like my brain was trying to get jerked out of my head. I saw all the cats who have sacrificed so much, and those who are evil who don't deserve to be here, at this sacred place.

Lightningpaw-

I sniffed around and saw a mouse. I instinctivly ran towrd it. Even while I was, I knew it was odd. Any animal that's not bigger than a cat would never come near us. Even dogs didn't really aproach. But oh well, a catch is still a catch. I ran and ran. When I reached to Ghost Tree I knew something was wrong. My siblings and Oceanfur all had their noses to the tree. I instinctivly did the same. Visions clouded my mind. I couldn't think. I could only see many faces. Most I didn't know. Eventualy the visions stoped bluring and moving, and one vision came in close. There were three cats standing on a stone. I recognised them as me and my sister and brother. We looked much older. Like warriors actually. Lying at our feet was a dead cat. I couldn't tell if we were sad or glad that the cat had died. The vision wasn't that detailed. Stormpaw stepped down. I could hear his heart pounding. He was nervous. Suddenly a dark she-cat came out of the shadows, and nuzzled him. I guessed she was his mate. I stared at the figures. My figure moved close to my brother and his mate. I growled at them, and walked away. My shadow hitting the forest floor making a shadowy line like blood. I was spooked. What could have made my future self do that? The vision blurred, I opened my eyes, which I hadn't noticed were closed. My heart was pounding, and I was sweating. The others  noses were still pressed against the tree. I ran back to camp. I was never going to tell anyone what I had seen that day at the ghost tree. I promised myself.
