I am so

I am so happy! I am in the play Willy Wonka Jr. at my school. This is my first play ever! I am not a main role, but I am a Candy Kid/ Oompa-Loompa! The practices are so much fun! I will post more about it later!

Is it the same as Willy Wonka? I haven't been in many plays. But was in one in K and 1st grade (3 Piggy Musical, Peter Rabbit). I was always the narrator. =(

Yes, except it is a musical.

Awesome, Choco! I love Willy Wonka, especially in stage format. (My theater company put it on the year before I started getting involved, and it was cool. Small parts are very nice, I have much experience with them. ;)

I'm also excited because I'm in Charlotte's Web right now, and we're performing at our City Auditorium in just 2 weeks (after three and a half months of rehearsal!)! It's going to be amazing!

@Elizabeth: Yeah, it's pretty much the smae as Willy Wonka, but more kid friendly. Like during the summer I did Alice in Wonderland Jr. It was Jr. because the caterpillar smoked.

I think the Jr. versions of popular shows are shortened versions suitable for performance by younger people than the original shows.

Well hi there Choco! :) I'm doing wonderfully, thanks for asking. How about you? ;) I've been super, super busy lately, so I haven't had much time for CB. :p I'm working it out though and will make sure to post more often! Everybuggy here is so great, I wouldn't want anybuggy to think I'm leaving! :)

How's the play going?

Cool!

Yes, Jr. refers either to a slightly abridged version, or in the case of Annie Jr. and other "Jr." musicals, the songs have been altered to be kinder to younger voices without as much experience as the Broadway actors likely have.

Today we had another practice. We have vocals from 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Then we have stage practice from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. And then we have lots of breaks in the middle.

EEP!! The other day we got the casting for the play my school's doing, and I got Doloros, the Landlady! Our music/drama teacher is writing a play, and it's about this apartment complex with a bunch of crazy (not cookoo crazy, just an odd assortment that if they were all put together you would think that they would be at each other's throats 24/7, but they're not) tenants living in it. And Mr. Troy, from Meanco Inc., wants to demolish it to build a Mini-Mall, but they have to try and save it. It's REALLY awesome, and I'm SO excited!!! Doloros is a pretty big part, but my teacher doesn't know whether or not she sings.
