Well, the commercials for it are hysterical.  "The wolf is coming..." *creepy music*

I've seen... Some of it. (in other words, the few precious seconds I bothered glimpsing at the TV) I thought it was a horror movie so I didn't watch everything. It looks ok. Just ok.

Lol, I completely agree with R~D. When I first saw the trailer, I thought it was for Twilight ("from the makers of Twilight" Aha. No wonder) . Hm, let's take a fairy tale, twist the plot, throw in some romance, bland dialogue, and shirtless guys, and hey presto! You've got yourself a chick-flick worthy of brainwashing 99% of girls 13+. If you're going to spend $10 at the movie theater, go see something good. Like The Adjustment Bureau.

I watched the trailer. After I found out it was made by the makers of Twilight. I noticed the similarities. Girl falls in love with "crazy monster", never wants to leave him, guy almost kills her... I think I'd possibly see it!

Haha, I know! The trailer is just a leetle bit cheezy. I think I'd possibly see it too, Elizabeth M! But maybe I'll wait till it comes out in Redbox, and rent it for uno dollar.

My initial impression of the trailer was "Twilight-ifying my fractured fairytales?! NOOOO WHY MUST THIS BE?!"

...

And then I got Hello, Little Girl stuck in my head. "Grandmother first, then Miss Plump/What a delectable couple/Utter perfection, one brittle, one supple/One moment, my dear..." And that made everything much more tolerable.

I might go see it for laughs. And to sing I Know Things Now and/or Hello, Little Girl under my breath if it gets too pretentious/cliche. Because Into the Woods is the best fractured fairy tale ever, y/y?

It looks horrendously anachronistic, though, and not in a good way like The Brothers Grimm was. And if there's one thing I loathe, it's unintentional anachronisms in period-esque pieces. Intentional anachronisms are great, because it means the writers basically took all the awesome parts from real history, and then ditched all the not so awesome bits and made up something better. Whereas anachronisms that are obviously there not out of choice but out of ignorance are annoying and shatter suspensions of disbelief (Number one offender: corsets. are. NOT. medieval!).

The strained staring seems to have followed CH from Twilight to RR, as well. Do not want.

That being said, the cinematography in the trailer was gorgeous. I may have to go just to squee at the pretty scenery, so long as the actors don't get in the way too much.
