So, I'm not
So, I'm not able to be in Choir this year (only 1 elective freshmen year and band always has dibs on me... (; ) and I miss it REALLY bad, even though I've only done it for one year! I definitely want to do it next year, though. Do any of you guys have tips or ideas on how I could keep my voice strong and improving so I can audition well next year for Choir??

Oh, I'm so sorry! If I had to skip choir, I'd feel awful. I'd suggest doing voice lessons, if you don't do that already, so that your voice remains just as strong. The benefit of that is that your voice will even improve! However, if you don't, I'd suggest seeing if there are other local choirs in the area that you could do. If you can't do either of those things, the least you can do is to just continue singing around the house or for people or whatever works for you.
Good luck and enjoy band! :)

Sing along to any music you hear. What instrument do you play?

Is there another group you can join? Maybe a church choir or community chorus? You can at least sing hymns in church, maybe lead songs for a group of Brownies. Can you participate in a community or school musical? Sing around the house.

@Analesia: I sing to the radio and listen to music alllll the time! I play the flute!!
@Admin: I'm possibly joining my youth group's worship team. The all-school musical isn't until May-ish. Thanks for the advice!!
You're welcome. Sometimes I sing when I'm taking a walk by myself, too.

Clarients are awesome, too! Actually, just about every instrument is awesome... Except oboes the first couple years. *shudder*
