Chatterbox: In This Month's Issue

And he is

And he is back!

Yes. Today I got my September issue of Cricket, and there was an awsome story (in my opinion) by no other than Frederick S.Durbin! What do the rest of you think of it?

It's awesome so far... I wonder how long it's going to be.

I am actually very annoyed with this month's issue. And why is that? Ren and The Shadow Imps is a very awesome 4 part story, but I have read it before in the October 2003-January 2003 issues. In additon, when I read this month's issue, not only did I find familair Ren but also Beetle Blisters, a story that once ran in the September 2003 issue, if memory serves me correctly. Now I am very annoyed at this. It is sometimes nice to see old familliar stories, but two in the same issue makes me mad. I am subscribing to this magazine to see new literature, not things that I have already read because they've been published before. Aside from that, I would really appreciate if somehow In Search Of.... could be published again because my sister stopped subscribing to Cricket while the series was still going, much to my intense displeasure.

Sakura, if you'd like to email us at cricket@cricketmagkids.com, we can send you a personal reply. We are sorry you are disappointed. It is true that we sometimes reprint good stories, especially if they fit a specific theme in a new issue. You are probably in the minority of current subscribers who have been reading Cricket long enough to have seen these stories when they were first published nine years ago. They are new to a most of our readers.

My subscription has yet to be renewed, so now I've missed two issues! *sigh*

There's also a book by Frederic S. Durbin-The Star Shard. You should read it somemetime. It's really good.

I know! The Star Shard was first published in Cricket, and was
liked so much that Mr. Durbin decided to make a book out of it. The
magazine's edition was much shorter than the book is. It was also one of
the most liked stories. I didn't get the book or the magazines that had
The Star Shard in them, but this is what I read.

Oh, yeah does anyone know where I can get an issue of Cricket that was already published over a year ago? My library doesn't have it.

You should be able to purchase back issues from our warehouse. Call: 1 800 821 0115 or go to www.cricketmag.com.
