"Golden Windows, Part 2"

Have you ever had to wait for something you really, really wanted? (Like, say, a skateboard?)

I started ballet when I was 4 years old. From that moment on, I dreamed of getting pointe shoes. (You have to be 12 to get pointe shoes.) I waited and waited for years and years until the year I turned 12. When I was finally able to get my shoes, I went to the ballet store with eagerness. My friend also came along, so we tried on shoe after shoe. There are many types of pointe shoes, like glisse, releve, plie, and tiffany. Each shoe works with a different type of foot. I ended up getting glisse. Now, I'm 13 and I love going to pointe. Although it seems like it hurts a lot, it doesn't because you have either a gel pouch or lamb's wool in your shoe. I use lamb's wool.

Besides dinner? (which, when you're hungry, can seem an eternity away) My first American Girl doll! I've been interested in AG since I was 4. My parents kept saying I had to wait till I was older. Finally, 4 years later, I got her! I was SO excited! I've been collecting more dolls and clothes since! Btw, Teresa, what's pointe exactly?

Pointe is a type of dance, like ballet.

The main differences are in the shoes you wear and the types of muscles you use. In ballet you wear a soft slipper, but in pointe you wear hard shoes. The pointe shoes are made of thin wood with pink satin covering it. The shoes help you go on, literally, the tips of your toes. It may sound painful, but most dancers use a padding like Ouch Pouches (a gel covering) or lamb's wool (I use this.) to protect their toes. If you want to see a picture of them, just google search pointe shoes.

In pointe, you focus on your ankles, arches, and calves when you dance.

Which of the American Girl dolls was your first? I have Addy.

I first got a look-alike, but I now also have Felicity, Molly, Kanani, and several dolls that are not necessarily American Girl dolls, but some just like them, and some Madam Alexander dolls too! I also want Addy, Kit, and Caroline! I know Caroline has replaced some of the older dolls, (I cried about Kirsten) but I just can't help falling head-over-heels for her!

Also, I really want to dance! I want to take Irish step dance!  It looks so pretty!  Ballet does too, its just not for me.  Don't you have to start out slow when you first begin?  I like things a little more fast paced, but I love to watch ballet! Some of the dresses are especially pretty and graceful, it kinda reminds me of figure skating!

I have Felicity.  I wanted Elizabeth, because I thought she looked pretty.  I thought her name was Felicity.  But now I think Felicity's 10x better!

I like the American Girl movies a lot.  Out of all of them, though, my favorite's the original: Samantha.

Ooh! I love the American Girl movies too!  I really like Samantha, but I have to say, my favorite is Felicity! I also really like Kit! But I don't like the movies about the Girls of the Year as much. Not as much to them. I'd like a movie about Addy, or Kirsten (even though she's retired), or even Caroline, she got an interesting plot.

I'd like to see them make an Addy movie and a Josephina movie.

I was really sad when all three of them retired.  Samantha was awesome, and my sister and I have Felicity and Kirsten.  I never got to get Felicity her really pretty summer dress.
