To be published!

It will happen someday!

Merci, Muffin! And I agree, it will, if simply from my pure determination. I am willing to go to my grave unpraised, unsung, and unwept, but not unpublished.

To write a novel and get it published. (It would be awsome to have a book in an issue of Cricket!)

Currantly I would say to crush BHR sense we're in the middle of war. But that is so easy so to be the greatest !!!POKEMON MASTER!!! , but that will be easy to.

To get a story published ON PAPER (I'm published on the web) as well as publishing a comic. Yes, my greatest ambition and the chance were a little close to home for me.

My greatest ambition would be to publish a novel and have it praised to the heavens here on the Chatterbox!

Why does everyonw want to be published?

Because... I've grown up around books, I'm sadly probably the best writer in my class, and I want to see my print on paper. I want people to say "Wow, I loved that story."

Why do you say "sadly"? I'd think you should say "happily."

@ Blue: Like Theo said, because we've grown up around books. And a lot of the people on CB are more literary geared. I've grown up reading forever! I can hardly remember a time I didn't have a book (most commonly Anne of Green Gables;) The characters they wrote inspired me! I wanted to be just like the female heroines I read about all the time! And that's how Blonde Heroines Rule, the author was born! I want other girls, (or guys) to be inspired by my characters! I want them to say: "Wow, I could do that! I could be just like them!"  I personally, have been imagining up characters all my life, even before I thought to be an author! I would lie in bed and think up characters and scenarios for them. Then one day, I thought about actually writing a book, and I've never gone back!

@ Theo: I can completely relate. It's tragic when there are little to no other ambitiously minded writers out there. Nobody understands good literacy. Our world is going downhill... So sad.

Something that has given me some inspiration is the show The Waltons. I love Johnboy! And how he writes about his daily life, and growing up on Walton's Mountain!

"Good night, Grandpa." "Good night, Johnboy."

Has anyone ever thought of starting a writing club?

I think it would be fun if one could gather enough people. I like how the Chatterbox is sort of like a 'writing club' and a place for us to talk even though we live in different places.

That's why I love the Chatterbox! It's like a book/writing discussion club (with various posts about music/movies to keep us in the modern world) and I feel somehow that everyone on the Chatterbox are like my chums (I want to meet BHR and Gollum in real life) and that we all have something in common.

And I love writing, ever since I was little and just imagined things in my spare time, so not being published has never--EVER--entered my mind. I agree with Blonde Heroines Rule--I shall not go to my grave unpublished! Although I do think I would be a little sad if I die unpraised, unwept and unsung. (By the way, is that quote from Robert Frost, Lord Byron, or neither?)

I like to read, which leads me to having my greatest ambition.  See, when you say it the right way, it actually makes sense!

I agree!

And of course one of my greatest is to get published as an author, but also, and I think this is just as important, I want to start a family someday. Being a mom is cool.

That may be my favorite part of the show, Admin. Reminds me of my own family!
