Chatterbox: In This Month's Issue

I absolutly loved

I absolutly loved the story "Rule Of Rock" where Persephone makes a really smart decision about being equal. Even though the story was fairly short, it left me with a great feeling plus the illustrations were good too.

"Seneca Oil And Early America" was really informational, I learned a ton about petroleum! It has sooooo many uses! And people used it really creatively.

I really enjoyed this issue, but I have a question, can you send work to Cricket? Like poetry and short stories? And are there any specific guidelines?

The only place we accept student work is in our Cricket League contests. There is a new contest described in each issue and at:

cricketmagkids.com/contests

Entries must follow the specific theme and rules for each contest. This month it a poem about friendship or friends. Entries must be received at

Cricket League, PO Box 300. Peru, IL 61354

Much Ado About Mostly Nothing, gave me a head start in school. We were gonna learn about atoms next year, but thanks to Cricket I have a head start.

Thanks Cricket!

By the way @Admin,

So we CAN'T submit work to Cricket unless it's a competition? Because on Chirp About Cricket, you (admin) wrote we could...? So I'm a little confused...

What specifically does it say about submitting work to Cricket on Chirp About Cricket? We do also accept book reviews for Cricket Readers Recommend and letters for the Letterbox.
