Chatterbox: In This Month's Issue

 Hey Ad

Hey Admins,

I have a question about this month's photography contest. When we send our photograph in by online, are we allowed to edit the picture or do we need to send it in just as it looked like as we took it?

That's a good question. We haven't discussed that yet. I'll ask the other editors. What do you mean by edit? I think it would be fine to crop it. Ask again in a few days and I'll hope to have an answer for you. Or send an email to cricket@cricketmagkids.com.

Hey Admins!
To answer your question(s), I use iPhoto which I download my taken pictures on. In iPhoto, I can make the picture brighter/darker, change the color, (black and white, sephia, etc.) sharpen the picture, and do other things to the picture. This is what I mean by edit. I wondered if I could send in my picture edited, or do I need to send in the picture exactly as it looked when I took it, with no changes?

We've discussed this and decided that yes, it is fine to edit your photo, it's part of the creative part of the process. Thanks for asking.
