OOOOOOHHHHHHH MY GOSH!!!!

Chatterbox: In This Month's Issue

OOOOOOHHHHHHH MY GOSH!!!!

OOOOOOHHHHHHH MY GOSH!!!!!

I was published!!!

In the Blots from the Inkwell thing! it wasn't under my usual CB name, but I was published! It was the very first one, in my ski lodge that died, like, three months ago.

I was so happy, I ran and showed it to my parents and sisters. They were happy for me too, because they knew how much I wanted to be published.

I was looking at the page, thinking 'Maybe something I wrote got in here!' Then I read the first few sentences, and I was like, 'Wait...'

I was also really happy because George and Tail mentioned it. :)

Sorry, I just wanted to say that. Thank you Admins!

And congratulations to everybody else who got published as well! :):):):):)

Wow that's so cool! I was wondering if I could read it. Do you know where I could find it? I'm not really sure because I'm new to the Chatterbox.

I just went looking for it. It's actually a couple different comments that I wrote, and it's on page ten of the Inkwell, under 'You hear a...'

Welcome to the CB!

"I've taken to writing posts in the form of a book," Scylla explained. "Just saying." She turned to face TARDISrider. "You're lucky," she began, "that you feel confident about telling your family you were published." She sighed a long sigh. "If I told mine that I was published, if I happened to be published, my parents would look at me strangely or try to be false-supportive." She took a breath and continued. "If I told my sister, she'd scoff and be overall hurtful." She gazed around at the CB. "Don't get me wrong, I'd love to be published," she said evenly. "But I'd keep that 'victory' to myself. I'm glad that your family is supportive of you being on the CB, TARDISrider. Congratulations on being posted; were you 'The Master'?" She paused before concluding, "I hope this didn't dampen your spirits, but I have a habit of doing that. I'm not suggesting that you do as I would do, or even anything close. You are, all of you are, wonderfully unique people and don't let anyone tell you, especially not me, anything different."

Oh, Scylla! I'm sorry. If you ever get published (Sorry, when you get published, you are an amazing writer), you can always come and tell me about it. You are an amazing writer, as I said before, and NEVER let anybody tell you otherwise.

My name was under 'The Manager'. It's the very first one on there.

ME TOOOO!!!!!

I was looking through kind of distractedly because I was playing a game with my mom and my brother at the same time, and then I saw my name and I just randomly said, "Oh hey, that's me!" And my family had no idea what I was talking about. I'm so happy! Congrats to everyone else! You all did really well.

I've never been published either, but that's because the only (and first) issue I got was Jan 2016. I had not gotten the Feb. one yet. Frown But, I am very excited for the Feb. one. Congragulations to all of you as well. Smile

Good job! I saw those things in the mag and it inspired me to come on the chatterbox, so I'm new here and I want to know a good way to start doing a RP. It looks like fun, but I have no Idea how to get started!

You can start a thread by looking for the box near the top left of the home page of any section of Chatterbox. It says Click here to talk about ____. There are a lot of RPs already started. Maybe you can join one of the very recent ones first. Read some of the threads and you'll get the idea. RPs should go on Pudding's Place or Inkwell.

Yes. I was in class at the Gallifrayian Acadamy of Time Lords. He warned me about the whole Blow-up-Galifray thing, so we were abloe to steal the TARDISs and fly away. I'm one of the last...

Sorry, that was unnecessarilly long.

BTW, you new, Thorne? Welcome, and glad to meet another Dr. Who fan! :) Always a good day.

Admin, how do you choose who is published?

Do you mean in Cricket magazine? First readers read everything that is submitted, then select the better stories that are submitted to pass on to the editors. Then the editors review and discuss the stories and make the final selections.

Admin

What is their definition of "better"? Like, which ones are more to their taste? Is it detail? Is it word choice?

Interesting, well written, on a theme and in a genre of interest to young readers, something that stands out and is memorable, a good story, . . .
