I have 2

Chatterbox: In This Month's Issue

I have 2

I have 2 questions.

1. I sent a poem for the contest this morning from northern TX. Will it get there in time??

2. If it does get there in time, when will I hear from you?

Thanks so so so so so much!!

We can't guarantee the speed of the US mail, but we'll be on the lookout for your poem. The rules do really mean that the entry should be received by our mailbox by the 25th. (Whenever the 25th falls on a holiday or weekend we do accept whatever arrives in the next business day's mail.)

Contest replies usually are mailed out anywhere from 4 to 10 weeks after the contest deadline.

Admin, I would really like to enter the contest but I only got my mag yesterday. Is it possible?

Which contest? The February one or the March one? March will still be open, but not February unless it arrives by tomorrow or Friday. ~Admin

Oh, the February one. Nevermind, I don't think I can. Has the March one been sent out already? I just got Feb!

I don't think March issues have mailed yet. However the March Cricket League contest theme and rules should be posted by March 1 at

cricketmagkids.com/contests

so you can get started on your entry early in the month.

The current contest theme and rules should be posted at

cricketmagkids.com/contests

by the beginning of the month. So even if your issue is late arriving in the mail, you can create and mail an entry to arrive before the deadline.

Old Cricket, can you let me know if you recieved a poem that goes like this?:

 Love

I sit at the window

Waiting for Daddy to come home.

I watch the dirt road,

Longing to see his wagon.

I want him to walk through the door,

So I can run into his welcoming arms

And bury my face into his clothes.

I long to smell his smell of

Watermelon, sweat, and honeysuckle.

I want him to say

"How 'bout we go wadin' , Apple Dumplin?”

We would run down to the creek

Barefooted,

Feeling the soft clover between our toes.

Then we would pull up our pants and skirt,

And walk into the water

Knee deep.

I look up from my daydream

And look down the road.

I see Daddy's wagon

And know that my dream

Will come

True.

~~

Thank you!

I hadn't received it as of yesterday, but I haven't read the poems that came in today's mail yet. I'll be on the lookout for it. It's a nice poem!
