I remember you saying, Laura, in a different thread that you sent a first sentence and it never got in, and the Admin (or someone) said that they think it might be good to put it in soon!

Yeah, the Admin haven't been letting me say it, so I'll try again (secretly...).  I got an honorable mention in the March art contest.  but I'll be quiet about, because I don't know why they won't let me post it... :)

I don't know why, either, Paige. Maybe Ugly Bird intercepted your comment. Once the notices have been mailed out, I think it's OK to shout it to the rooftops! Congratulations!

Yay, Paige. Congrats! It could've been a computer glitch or something though.

I got in our paper because when they told me I won they asked for my newspaper adress! I wouldn't have even seen it, but then my friend's dad emailed my mom about it. If any of you vague people (like TNO - location is Deep Space) live in Reno or Sparks, I'm in the RGJ today! Then again, it's a blurb about four lines long stuck over in the margins. Probably exactly seven and a half people will see it. Who cares, though, really? Something to brag about. Like the time a couple of years ago when my dad met us at the ice rink after work and got in the paper. "College professor skating in business attire." We still joke about that one. :P

Congrats!!!!! :D:D That's great!! :D I told them my newpaper's address, but the dumb annoying Gorham Times pretty much doesn't print anything other than the schools' sports, so I didn't get in it... :-\

Omg, I didn't get in the newspaper either.  I sent in my newspapers address and I've checked the newspaper EVERY week!!!  (Which has been, what, 15 weeks?  I dunno.) But my newspaper is a pretty big newspaper, so I really didn't expect it...  :S

Oh, I'm sorry!! :( That's annoying!!!  The Portland Press Herald is pretty much Maine's only big paper, so I decided I'd have better luck with the wee little Gorham Times, but I obviously didn't...
