I think it's cool that they have a story about mastadons.  Recently we were learning about mastadons in a museum.  When I was little I only knew about whooly mammoths.  when I first heard about mastadons I thought it just was different name for whooly mammoths.  But then I learned about them, they are related but they arn't the same species.

I don't know too, too much about them, but mostly that I've never heard of them living in Maine... Hmmm... :)

There were mammoths where I live - not wooly mammoths, but Columbian mammoths that had no fur (like elephants).
