Chatterbox: In This Month's Issue

So I know

So I know you guys always say on here "Don't post something important on This Month, because hardly anyone ever looks there.". I'm not saying everyone says that, and I'm not saying that's not true from time to time, but also remember that no one expects anyone to post much on This Month. Therefore, when you look through the CB on the menu page, and see that someone has posted on TM (that doesn't start with "Congratulations!!"), you'll naturally be interested. Is that why you clicked on this post? Magic, isn't it? Now on to business.

In the current issue(January 2018), answer one or more of these questions:

What really stood out to you?

What really made you think?

What made you laugh?

What made you cry?

What made you remember a distant thought you hadn't thought for awhile?

What inspired you to do/draw/write something?

I know this is probably a very common thing to ask on TM, but I want you to really think about it. You can answer as many, or as few as you like.

I don't think I've ever posted on TM before XD

Those are some very true musings. Quite true. Haha, I just got my February issue of Cricket in the mail on Thursday for some reason (I always seem to get mine early), so I have to re-wrap my mind around January's again. (But I do have to say, @Admins, that February's issue cover is probably my favorite of all the Crickets I've gotten. It made everyone in my family laugh! It's so creative and cute! XD)

What really stood out to you? It seemed as though some of the stories had a more humorous approch to them, and that the main "theme" were dragons.

What really made you think?  "The Water Bucket" story. Probably about how similar it is to Cinderella, and how similar Cinderella is to The Water Bucket. Just like countless other folk tales and countless other stories in history.

What made you laugh?  "Dragon Treat" story XD

What made you cry? Um, nothing, really?

What made you remember a distant thought you hadn't thought for awhile? Well, all of the poetry, with the thought, "Wow." Not very original, I know, but seeing as I have ZERO poetic talent, I always enjoy reading other people's poetry. Especially the poetry in Cricket.

What inspired you to do/draw/write something? Old Cricket Say's section at the end about soap. I went and washed my hands!

I haven't been on here in forever! Wonderful questions by the way! I don't really have enough time to answer these. (I'm about to be kicked off the computer) But I just wanted to let you know that another person is here!

What a great idea! It's surprising how, in a site built around such a great magazine, we don't even discuss it that much. I hope to see more of these in the future. :) I know I'm extremely late, but I want to support any creative TM threads. (Sidenote; I'm on a mobile device, so I can't copy paste the questions.)

What stood out to me was the cover art. It really told a story if you looked at the front and back covers and the contents page. I almost never pay attention to such things--but I'm so glad that, this time, I did!

Old Cricket always makes me think.

I loved reading the Typo Funnies in the letterbox. They were halarious!

Hmm, nothing sad in this issue..

Ghost on the Moor reminded me of staying at my grandmother's house--a house so old you might think that there were ghosts inside...a man had even died there...

Again, Ghost on the Moor. It inspired me to mention spirits/the dead in some of my fantasy work.

Thanks for making this thread! ;)
