So, as you all probably know by now, Ella Starburst and Floof Industries are leaving the CB. This leaves us MCU-less. :( however, we are a community of determined CBers, so we are not leaving this behind.
Lyre, of course, has created their monthly newsletter, which I am looking forward too! It's going to include a lot of fun (and helpful!) things, but we should definitely continue the mcu as well.
Feli suggested that we should each take over a section of the MCU, and as far as I can tell, everyone is supportive of that idea. So, here are the sections of the mcu:
important dates
location of the month
LMWAY (last month we asked you)
advice column
CBer awards
ask abcde (although I believe bakerloo and morning already have this one taken over)
Each one of us can choose a section to take over. If we got too many volunteers, we could switch off every other month, or we could add more sections if there are more ideas.
After all CBers have written up their section, someone (I believe Peregrine has volunteered for this role) could paste them all into one post. Everyone could include banter with their own AEs, as well, because why not?
I would love to come up with the prompts for the LMWAY, but anyone else can do that too.
I don't want to make this post too long, but everyboday put your ideas here!! If we agree to do this, then we'll have to organize who does what section, etc.

I will paste everything together, unless another really wants to. If so please let us know and I will hand it over to you! It might be a good idea to have a “co-paster” just in case I cannot do it for some reason.
I am going to do a monthly book review and originally intended to have it included in the MCU. On further thought however I believe I will post it on BaB as more of a branch off from the MCU. I think it would work better seperately and it might keep BaB a little more alive.
I look forward to hearing everyone’s thoughts and keeping the MCU alive!

I'd be up for the location of the month (that's where people come up with ideas for the LOTM and I choose which one, right?) but if someone else wants to do that/there is something else that I need to do I can do a different section.

um... can I start a new section? I had an idea for "things of the month". Here's an example;

I would really love to keep my post as the award giver and I'll help in any other ways I can. :)
Could I suggest that our "staff members" switch off on who is doing the commentary? For example, Mary and crew could do April; Jade and crew could do May; I could do June; and so on.

Oh, I love that idea! We'll get all our staff members together, ask which months work for them, and organize accordingly.
And you can certainly do awards again :)

MM, we could combine the MCU and the Monthly Newsletter! The Monthly Newsletter is a branch of the MCU, how's that sound? Or, they both combine to make something, the MCU is mainly jokes, awards, and such, the Monthly Newsletter is a serious report.
