Isn't the Cricket cover this month so pretty?? I just love all the little details, like the snail shell dangling from the one witch's hat and the little shapes in the tea steam. It says the media is gouache, which I've never used but now want to try! The October covers are always the best.

It really is! I like the witch with the purple dress a lot.

 

I kind of cannot wait for the next issue, because I want part 3 of "Aunt Maureen's Secret" and "To Save Arrhisnal." I still have to finish part 2 of "To Save Arrhisnal," and I already can't wait to see what will happen!

Yes, I totally agree!  I think the art alone is top-notch, especially the owl, and then the coloring just blows me entirely away.  Everything looks like it's glowing, and I can count several different shades of color on the purple dress alone.

I am totally in to magic and this is just the best.

I love how in Cricket you have the awesome picture on the front and then you look at the back and it's a continuation of the picture on the front. Wow.
