Sea Glass Group chat thread!

I don't really know what to talk about so... I guess we get to know each other a little?

Have you ever read anything by Tolkien? I don't really like the Lord of the Rings, but I LOVE the Hobbit and am... mildly maniacallly obsessed with the Silmarillion.

I saw you liked Aru Shah. I think I read the first book... it was really good. I'll have to see if I can buy the second one.

Do you have a nickname? Like Semp, or Verde?

Lol, my CAPTCHA Jibbers says rhode. That sounds like a real word.

I’ve read the Hobbit when I was younger and started the LotR series but never finished it, so I’ve been looking to get back to it at some point. Never read the Silmarillion, but it sounds good.

Usually my nickname is Verde. Do you have a nickname? I noticed you wrote Elles for the first post, but I’m not sure if that’s meant to be your nickname.

Rhode sounds like Rhode Island, the state.

Do you listen to classical music? I recommend Dvorak’s 9th Symphony and Prokofiev’s March Op. 12 No. 1

Yeah, I mostly used Elles because your name took up the rest of the box, but it's also my nickname.

I like classical music! I don't listen to it a ton, but there are a few pieces that I really like. I especially like classical piano works--especially nocturnes. Moonlight Sonata (all parts, mind you) is one of my favorites. I have a looong road trip coming up, so I'll take a look/listen at your suggestions :)

For music, I recently discovered Rachmaninoff’s Scherzo in D Minor and Tchaikovsky’s The Snowstorm Waltz, which I liked a lot. Fun Fact: Scherzo literally means “joke” in Italian. In music terms, it’s probably meant to signify light and cheerful, but the literal translation is different.
