Three Cheers for 50 years!

September 2023 marks Cricket magazine’s golden anniversary. Fifty years have gone by so quickly. The bugs seem hardly to have aged at all! Our Cricket Country artist Carolyn Conahan kicks off the festivities with a special Cricket cover for our anniversary issue. In “The Letterbox” you’ll find tributes from some of Cricket’s lifelong subscribers as they reminisce about stories and poems they loved as children and still remember. You’ll smile at what Cricket was like “In the Bugining” with a look at our first cover and the hilarious early adventures of Cricket and Ladybug, while Old Cricket tells the tale of how Cricket got its name.
