Mei-lingParticipantI drew this for the Kyngdom Myths and Legends book, but I really like it, so can I also use it for Sketch?
-
MiceareniceParticipant???
Doing ArtI finally got the pics! Here they are.
This is it from the other side; I just flipped it around. (It doesn't stand up on its own since it's in a jumping pose.)

MiceareniceParticipant???
Doing ArtHere is my entry for sketch!
It has no title and the bird has no name, but some explorers who catch a glimpse of it have called it the Alien Bird. Apparently, explorers are not very creative when it comes to names, and neither am I!
The Alien Bird:
-
ScyllaParticipantThanks for the antelope pictures, Mice! Until further notice, you have won the Modeling contest. All the Sketch entries so far have been somewhat shaded….
-
Lei L.ParticipantNo!! XD
Nice job, Micearenice! Good game!
*High fives Micearenice, then narrows eyes*
I'm going to find exactly what's wrong with mine, fix it, and then WIN the third Art Contest!
*Stiffens resolve*
*Plops down*
So, Scylla, what are the flaws of my entry? I'm not being a bad sport, it's just I like to know how I can improve so I can do better next time. 🙂
And, Micearenice, your animal was truly good. It's really cute, and I really like it. You deserve to win the contest.
-
Qiu Z. (Chiyoh Jong)ParticipantNo!! XD
Congratulations, Micearenice! You deserve to win. Your antelope was really good, and maybe I only thought mine was good because I was biased.
*Fake cries*
Scylla, what can I do next time to improve my entry? Can you critque it and tell me its flaws? It's on the third page.
*Mutters to self, "Must do better next time."*
-
ScyllaParticipantI said until further notice and there has indeed been further notice. Check the next page.

100ParticipantCentennial!

...ParticipantActually, I don't know how someone can judge an apple to an orange. It's probably not fair to judge a paper snowflake to a clay antelope…Just sayin'.
-
Mei-xue (May-shreh)Participant@ …
It's not like I'm saying mine was better. I just want some feedback so I know how to improve.
-
...ParticipantOh, no, that's not what I meant! I was just saying that it didn't seem fair to judge two completely different concepts together: Paper cutting is a completely different art than sculpting. It takes different skills to make them, and a judge would also has to judge different aspects of them. Like, porportions in a sculpture and symmetry in a snowflake. All I was pointing out was that maybe we shouldn't judge the two together.
But Scylla is the judge, therefore she decides what qualifies as sculpting.
-
Mei-xue (May-shreh)ParticipantI don't want to offend you, but it really bugs me when someone doesn't post under their real name.
-
ScyllaParticipantLeaf of Love, your entry demonstrates finer craftsmanship, which is why I choose you as the winner of Modeling. Believe me, Mice, I know how hard it is to sculpt. This was a really tough decision but I had to choose Leaf. So that's it for Modeling. See you in Round 3 (which I'll host as judge of Modeling. . . again)…

tuxedo k./lonewolfParticipantDoes it still count if I did it in pen?
