ArinParticipant14
JakkuI'd like to enter the higher level, if that's okay?
This poem was written on April 15.
the geese are coming
back now and their screams sound like pain,
but then so doesthe silence of students across the world.

Rivendell (I wish) ;)Did I miss the Fire one, too? Oh, well. What's the next theme? I'd suggest fantastical peoples (like Elves and Sprites, you know, creatures out of Faerie).ย

Cho C.ParticipantNo!!! It's the last day!!

Rose budParticipantannouncing winners!Hello poets and thank you for submitting!! We only had two submissions for this round, but there's still competition!
First place: Abigail S.!ย
Second place: Arin!ย
I loved both of your poems! Thank you for participating.ย
Now, who would like to judge the next contest? ย

Rivendell (I wish) ;)I'll judge the next round, if I'm allowed! If I'm chosen, I'll judge and deal out awards next Saturday. ย If someone else wants to be judge, I'd like to enter as a contestant. Do we decide the theme before we appoint the judge?
-
-
Cho ChangParticipantWell, I guess Mei wins. Typical.
-
Rose budParticipantEsthelle, would you like to judge the higher level or lower level? (Mei, I think we should just have one level so that more people participate.) You get to decide on the theme.ย
-
Cho ChangParticipantShe's only on on Saturdays, so you'll have to pick for her โฆ

Rivendell (I wish) ;)Hey everyone! ๐
I'm here today because tomorrow looks like a bad day for getting on CB ๐ ๐ ๐
Thanks, Rose bud! ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐
If I'm allowed, I'd like to try and judge the higher level.ยIf it isn't confusing, could the theme for the coming week (beginning on May 1st) be Fantastical Peoples? By which I mean any of the people residing in Faerie, by which I mean Elves, Gnomes, and the like.ย
Here's a stanza by me, to give an idea of what I mean:
In the hidden valley, where the shades are stowed,
Winds a yew-hewn, dew-strewn, blue-moon road,
Where the leaves are lightest, and the shadows wrought,
Where the stars shine brightest, but the Moon goes not,
In the twilit valley where the wind ne'er blows,
There walk the Faerie Folk, where few dare go.ย
This stanza depicts the people of Faerie in the way often evoked in legend and tale.ย
But more modern Faerie-people are also welcomed.ย
So, if I am allowed to judge next week's poetry battle, I will grade it next Saturday.
Either way– I wish you all lots of time, a fluent pen (or keyboard), a free imagination, and, if you are fortunate, I glimpse of Faerie itself! ๐ ๐
