Jack-a-Nat ParticipantI'm not posting yet because I'm waiting for the RP to move into Chaotic Cardinal Valley. Once that happens, I'll definitely start posting. 🙂

I slashed my whip down over the twig blight's face, making it his and recoil. Slowly, I drove it back into the woods, until it turned tail and ran.
"A job well done," I smiled to myself. I turned to the villagers who had gathered behind me. A little girl, braids askance, ran to me, arms outstretched.
I got down on one knee, ready to hug her, but like a dove shot from the air, she jerked back as her mother grabbed her, shrieking.
I sighed and stood up. I should have suspected.
The mayor walked forward and hesitantly handed me a bag of golden coins. I took it gruffly and stalked away.
The forest arched over my head, pressing in. I shuffled forward, whip at my side.
Abruptly a flash of light blinded me, and a figure tumbled through-

MoonI actually have already started school, (and classes at the middle school start next week!) so if I don't post very much I'm sorry!

Rain. Great. I hop down from my position in a tree at the edge of the forest and plop down next to Ariana on the damp grass.
"Today'll be fun," she says, grinning at me from behind her curtain of long blonde hair. It's tangled, and unkempt, as she gave me the last ribbon we found for my own black hair. I scowl at her anayway. She's not the one who has to walk into town to try and snatch some food without anyone looking.
"See if you can grab some clothes too." She adds, pulling at her ragged, dirty clothes. "These are literally going to fall off soon."
"Fine," I say, standing up and bowing. "Anything else, oh great one?"
She laughs then, and I immediately feel better. Neither of us laugh very much. We never have, and it's my fualt… No. I won't think like that. Ariana could have stayed back in town, when they threw me out, but she didn't. She chose to come with me, to live the life of a fugitive with her brother. She doesn't even know why she has to live like this…
"Jared. Jaaaared." Ariana's peering curiously at me, like she always does when I drift off into my head.
"Yeah… Yeah, sorry." I shake my head and take a few steps out into the rainy field. "I'll be back in a couple hours."
As soon as Ariana's out of sight, I step back into the trees and change. I've always loved the feeling, being able to form yourself into whatever you wished, but it never gets old. This time, I become a stallion, pitch black with shining green eyes and a slightly too long balck mane. My hair and my eyes always stay the same, no matter what form I take.
After about 20 minutes of hard running (wait, galloping? Whatever), I arrive at the edge of town. In a flash, I turn back into myself. Clothes and food. Can't be too hard to find, right?

Everywhere@TARDIS I'm starting the transition now.
Amelia~
When I leave, I instantly regret it. It's boiling outside and cool in the library. There's nothing to do outdoors, and I don't feel like re-reading books. Why not take the advantage? I go back inside.
The librarian– a rather elderly woman– is replacing a book on the shelf. The library is empty again, simple as that, minus me and the two keepers of the place. I walk up to where she was reshelving, curious. It's in the nonfiction section, so maybe I can find some good books on fauna.
A hardcover book at the very front of the shelf catches my eye. It's bound in maroon, and golden letters stitched on the side read Cardinal Valley.
Is it a history of the town? I take it out. Maybe the birds disappearing happens often, and it's documented here.
The book is heavy and looks very long, which is surprising, because Cardinal Valley itself hasn't been around for too long. I flip it open, sitting down right there on the ground, balancing the large book on my knees.
The first page is blank. And the page after that, and after that, and after that. I flip through it. The whole book is full of blank pages! What sort of a dumb trick is that?
I'm about to get up and put the book back on the shelf when a black-and-white drawing catches my eye. It's on the last page. That's incredibly annoying; the publishers really goofed up while making this one.
The drawing pictures a fairy-tale castle. It has a flag flying from its heighest tower, but I can't tell what's on it. A winding path leads from whatever's in front of the castle, across a moat, and to the main entry. Underneath, in a familiar font to the one that's used for Disney, are four words:
Welcome to Cardinal Valley.I mouth words that I read, and I've only just finished forming the y when I blink out.
Simple as that.
Simply not there.
___
We'll be getting a POV from Peter soon.
Also, to let you guys know, the Cardinal Valley you guys find isn't necessarily the one Amelia found. It's magical, so it can change appearance completely with each reader.

DragonriderParticipantName: Ruby Whitman
Age: 12
Where they're from: Sleepy Cardinal Valley
Rank/Occupation: none
Appearance: Long straight brown hair, lots of freckles, hazel-ish Amber-ish eyes, skin color in between light and asian, and she's very short (4' 6")
Personality: cheerful and optimistic, but very hard on herself. A bookworm and averagely smart. Stands up for her friends, but most people don't really notice her. Sometimes lonely. Doesn't have many friends but is very friendly.
Backstory: Ruby's grandma and grandpa (on her moms side) grew up in Thailand, but moved to the USA because of Ruby's grandpa's job. Ruby's mom grew up in a big city near Sleepy Cardinal Valley, but never knew that Cardinal Valley existed. Ruby's grandparents on her dad's side, however had lived in Sleepy Cardinal Valley all their life, so her dad was raised there. He had always dreamed of traveling the world though, and one day he traveled to the city where Ruby's mom lived. They met each other in a small cafe and it was love at first sight. Ruby's mom moved to Cardinal Valley with her new husband and soon Ruby was born. Ruby has lived in Cardinal Valley her entire life and has only visited the nearby towns, but her father says that for her 16th birthday he will take her anywhere in the world that she wants to go, so she obviously can't wait for that day to come.
Other: Ruby is an only child. Her dad travels to many different places around the world so Ruby only sees him for half a year or less every year. She hopes to travel with him someday.

GaredParticipantI am an elf. I am an elf. I am a monster… I am an elf. I keep moving. The villages always anger me. I can’t fight. But I must. I must fight. This is my curse. War is in the air. I feel the stench of humans everywhere. I must protect nature.

MoonOooh!!! I just had an AWESOME idea!!! Could someone from S.C.V. like, pop into existence right by Jared and Ariana, and then Zekrar could come attack them?
-
GaredParticipantZekrar would probably go beserk. And keep in mind that Zekrar is a bad guy. He is a murderer, a thief, and a criminal.

Dragonrider Participant@St. Owl- Oops, sorry I didn't reaize that this had already been started. I guess I should have read through more of the RP.

GallifraySkye~
I stand halfway between my house and the library. That book, the red one that seemed to jump from my hands, keep nagging at me, like someone pulling lightly on my braid. Like, Hey, I'm back here. Did you see me? Why aren't you talking to me? Are you annoyed yet?
I glance at my house, turn, and walk back to the library. It only takes me a few moments to find the book again. It lays on the ground, opened to the middle pages. Picking it up, I flip through. Blank. Blank, blank, more blank. At last, I reach the last page. A simple drawing of a castle with the name of our town: Cardinal Valley.
I stare. Something feels so right about that picture. Something seems to be tugging again, someting pulling at my heart. I run my fingers over the outline.
Then I black out.
