earthFirst post this saturday! Please get your charries in soon, because we have limited space.

EvergreenParticipantwho knows?
The Library@Cynthia Maple, I believe "Special Talents" refers to regular-but-slightly-enhanced abilities, not paranormal/magical powers? For example look at the other charries in this thread. Correct me if I'm wrong, I just wanted to point that out 🙂

earthYes, it does, but it's ok. first post saturday! I'm looking forward to it, but this is my first role play, so it might not be super great. Oh, and if you were wondering, there are like 4 spots open.

@Cynthia Maple that's really cool, because my brother actually does archery. (I fence so our parents joke that when the zombie apocalypse comes they'll be fine XD)

#1 postAt exactly 3:30 P.M. a black limosene drives down a dirt road and up a gravel driveway. A passer-by stares at this unusual sight. The limo stops in front of a group of kids. "Do you have your invitations?" asks the driver, who is dressed like a chauffer who works for a billionaire. all the kids nod. "then get in," the drive says cheerfully.
Inside, there are already 3 kids. When all the newcomers are seated, the others introduce themselves. "I'm Mae Hallisen," says a girl with her brown hair in a neat braid down her back.
"I'm Nightengale Walker, but my friends call me Gale," says the black-haired girl sitting next to Mae.
"And I'm Emekittycon K," says the girl wearing a cat ears headband. "I love cats, if you can't already tell." The other 4 introduce themselves as Orcid Rollins, Lan Larso, Ashley Kekai, and Marilee Harper. For about a few hours, they drive on. Finally, the pick up Saylor Swallow and Alex Jacobson.
When the sun is getting very low in the sky the chauffer says, "We're here." All of the kids get out of the limo, happy to be able to stretch their legs. "wow," gasps Marilee.
"Sweet," Gale wispers.
"What's so great?" asks Orcid, who was last to get out.
"Just look," replies Emekittycon K. Orcid does, and she sees a huge mansion.
"What is this place?" Lan asks. It wasn't what anyone had expected. It was better.
"Welcome," the driver said, "to the private home of Miranda Hawkins. Miss Hawkins has aranged for all of you to stay and train here."
The children are led up a case of marble step and through a glass front door into a huge atrium.
"And I thought that the outside was nice," says Ashley.
"Yeah," agrees Alex. A women in a black skirt and a plain light blue blouse enters the room.
"Welcome! I am Miranda Hawkins," says the women in a soft voice. "I am glad to see that you have all made it. Please follow me on your tour of the mansion." First, Miranda leads the kids to the dining room. Then she shows them the lounge. "We will resume later," she tells them after they check out the pool. "Let us go to dinner."
Dinner is pork chops, beef stew, turkey, or vegan nuggets, green beans, mashed potatoes with gravy, candied carrots, cranberry sauce, fresh bread, and too much more to put here. "This is almost as good as what Harry Potter had in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," remarks Saylor.
After dinner, Miranda shows the children their rooms. "We have 5 rooms," she says. "In the purple room, we have Ashley and Saylor. In the cat room, we have Emekittycon K and Orcid. Marilee and Alex will share the butterfly room. Mae, you and Gale will get the room that has sound-proof walls and a climbing tower. And you, Lan, you get the magic room. I named it that because of all the trap-doors."
In the morning, Gale was actually refreshed. She decided that when she got home, she needed to convince her parents to put sound-proof walls in her room. She joined the others in the dining room and sat next to Saylor. "Have you seen any adults?" sahe asked. Saylor shook her head. Suddenly, the doors of the kitchen opened and Miranda walked in.
"Children, she said. " I believe that you know why I have brought you here. To train you to be espionage operatives, or, as many people put it, spies. Today, we will begin your training."
O.K., guys. I hope you enjoyed. Since there isn't much for you to do, I'll post more soon, but the third post will be on the 4th.

IvoryPParticipant"Your messing with me right!? The best I have been hoping for for three years is a dog, when there is cool stuff like being a spy in this world. Oh by the way Marillee I wanted to talk to you about gymnastics. Last night I noticed a trophy in your bag. I used to take it before we moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, but then I switched to trapize."
Takes big bite of eggs. "Hey these are good, you guys should try them." Turns to Lan "Have we met, before last night I mean, you look fimiliar"
I hope I did this right. Not to long or short.Ive never been in any RP's

EvergreenParticipantwho knows?
The LibraryXDD I love that Gale got the sound-proof room. I would NEVER have thought of that 🙂 .
" 'Espionage operatives?' " Gale echoed, setting her fork down. She recalled the invitation: "…You and several other very extraordinary people have been chosen to form Project K. Project K will be a highly trained spy team."
I'm 14. Extraordinary? I'm not athletic or anything. It's just my memory, and the music, she thought.
Gale glanced around the room at the others. Suddenly she felt nervous. "Why us, though?" she said. "I mean, we're just kids…and what training will it be…?"
Quick question can we respond multiple times per week? This is fun!

Miranda HParticipant12 Winters
earthOk, so, guys, I hope I'm not seeming rude by putting a pos t here when you haven't posted yet, but you can post all the rest of the week (yes, more then 1 post is ok) and you will be asked to answer a special question.
"Yes, Miss Gale, you are extraordinary and your hearing will be a powerful asset to yourself and the team, I suspect. Now children, I do not mean to interupt your breakfast, but I once went to england, and every scince, I have always had Elevense's. At 10:30. So, please, follow me." Miranda led the kids to the room with the climbing tower. "Your rooms, as you remember, all have something unique about them. They are part of your training course. We will only have a little exersize today, but tomorow, we shall start intensive training."
All the kids got fitted in climbing gear and had a fun time on the tower. When everyone had had enough of climbing, Miranda took them to the lounge where there was a splendid snack for everyone.
Before anyone ate anything, though Miranda cleared her throat and said "we have an important matter to disscuss. I have tried to tailor your training to each of you, but I must first know this: what type of spy do you wish to be?"
Here are your optians: research operative or feild operative. I know which is more ecxiting, but if you come to post and see that everyone has put the same thing, please don't go with the flow or the story won't flow well. Also, if you can think of another spy job, you are welcome to put it, but just not 'head of spy team'.

Agent WinterParticipantClassified
There"Field operative!" I exclaim, bouncing up and down. I have a feeling it might be more useful to be a research operative, but I know I'd never be able to sit still while everyone else is out there doing stuff.
-
NyxParticipant13 years
earth(Wow, Lan got his own room? Wow. And traps and stuff?)
"I'd like to be a field operative as well, please," Lan answered.
-
-
EvergreenParticipantwho knows?
The Library"I don't know," Gale says, wincing at how uncertain her voice sounds. "I mean, I might be better at research, but field operative is an interesting choice. What would I be doing, as a research operative? Besides the obvious, of course…"
*I think her final answer is probably/maybe going to be research operative, given her skills set/personality. Just so you know :D*
-
Miranda HParticipant12 Winters
earthI hope I can help you make the right chioce, so, think about your character's personality. Research operatives will still get plenty of stuff to do and exitment, but, as we all know, the more glamourous job is field operatve. If your character is willing to head write into danger, they will be wonderful feild operatives. Oh, and guys, you are free to be whatever you want, but I do need a research operative or two to really make the story good.
