Illustris~
The flying humanoid dives down, her sword drawn. I give a sharp whistle and a wolf with glowing white eyes appears.
"WEAPONS DOWN!" I screech out, drawing my bow. "IF YOU TRY ATTACKING ME, IT WILL NOT END UP WELL FOR YOU."
I whisper in the wolf's ear, telling it to attack anyone who tries attacking me.
"Alright." I say, stepping closer to the flying human, who is landing. "State your name and your business.

Also, I'm going to change Illustris's powers:
Illustris can 1. talk to wolves, 2. shadow-travel, and 3. see in the dark really well.
Illustris has been surviving in the woods since they were born and they learnt combat.
Also, their pronouns are now they/them. Kinda forgot what they were before. heh.

I glare at Illustris, pointedly not dropping my sword. Who do they think they are? But I probably shouldn't push my luck too much, so I say, "I'm Mitra, and I just want to get my friends back to our car. I'll leave you alone if you leave us alone. What do you want?"

Illustris
A small smile works it's way onto my mouth.
"Of course. I have not seen someone so loyal to their friends. I simply wish to protect the forest, however, I can be agressive sometimes. I am half-wolf."
I step aside and bow.
"If you are searching for the oasis, I would be glad to join you. I do have a couple maps stored away somewhere. Apologies for attacking you- do any of you have wounds that need to be treated, Miss Mitra?"

Karen~
I hear the commotion of fighting, and spring into action, covering the distance to the fight with wolf-speed. I leap into the area, ignoring the fact that they're being diplomatic now, and roar "What is going on here?" Logan follows me amiably, Silvia on his shoulder in black widow form, now missing a limb, I note, pleased.

Skye~
”Hey-Hey-hey. Healing? We don’t need help with that. I’ve got it.” The half-wolf looks at me questioningly.
“Guys, meet at the truck for a sec?” I look over at Illustrius. “Not you. And don’t try to listen in.”

Illustris
I nod slowly.
"I'll stand guard, if you need it. The forests are filled with dangerous animals."
I bow once more, and retreat into the forest.

We all head to the truck, on the far side of it, in the shade. I sit down on the ground, then look at Skye questioningly. "What is it, Skye?"

”How can we trust her?”
Mitra looks at me questioningly. “How can we trust you?”
I sigh. “Good point. Do you want me to go?”

Logan~
"Don't leave," I answer hurriedly. "Whatever we're doing–and I don't know what that is– out here, it's better to have more than fewer.
"You and me was more yesterday," Karen grumbles. "Then we get the spider," I glance to Silvia on my shoulder, "and she's 'more,' then we get all these…… idiots." I get the feeling that "idiots" wasn't her first choice of words.

I get up, definetly not in a good mood.
"Well, this is all fine and dandy, but have you all forgotten that the more time we spend toiling around, the closer those harpies get to us?"
Mitra looks at me. "What do you mean? I thought we got them."
"Well yes, but they have a large flock-about three times as much as we encountered. They will be relentlessly hunting us down." I respond.
Everyone looks at each other, worried. I just grin and look at my map in my pocket. If I manage to stop these fools from getting to the oasis, then they won't fall victim to the parasitic spores growing there.
We all hop onto the truck, and start to drive away, chatting.
A/N: I not turning him into a villain, he does want to save everyone. But he just has some strange methods for it.

"Wait, you mean wyverns, right?" I say in confusion.
Caleb nods.
"But they only come out at night."
He shakes his head. "Not when there are so many of them."
"Great. Also, we should probably bring Illustris."
Everyone stares at me.
I shrug. "I'd rather have them as a friend than an enemy. Illustris is a good fighter if nothing else, and we can always kick them out anyway."
