SybillParticipantHe/they/xeAndrei Lamont~~
This was the day the Riders were supposed to be meeting their new units, and Andrei was spending it in a prison. It wasn’t like he’d intended to end up here, but a very good opportunity had come up and xe wasn’t the kind of person to miss out on good opportunities. He hoped that the rest of his unit wasn’t going to mind if xe spent their “bonding time” committing a crime.
The guard’s uniform he was wearing fit loosely around his body–the guard xe’d stolen it from was notably larger than Andrei, but they were the only one by themself. So far, nobody had found the unconscious body of the guard, or noticed that Andrei wasn’t actually one of their colleagues. Xe tried to walk quicker–the cell he was looking for was just around the corner.
And there it was. The prisoner inside was about the same age as Andrei, with curly red hair, freckles, and pale skin. His head was lowered, but Andrei knew his sharp, green eyes would have a mischievous glint in them.
The prisoner stood as Andrei got closer, and revealed those green eyes. Andrei couldn’t help but grin–it had been quite some time since xe’d seen Kettu. Kettu did a double-take upon seeing Andrei’s face, then the same grin appeared on him. Andrei put a finger to his lips, reminding Kettu to not say anything. Kettu nodded in response.
Xe pulled the keys he’d stolen out of his pocket, looking for the correct number. He slipped it into the lock, and with a soft click, the door opened. Kettu rushed towards it. When he was in the hall, Andrei guided him, trying to make it look as if xe was just a guard leading him to a new cell.
They were pulling it off surprisingly well.
The other guards hardly paid attention to them as they walked through the halls. Andrei knew there was a back exit around here somewhere–they’d easily be able to escape. It was a shame that Andrei had missed the Rider ceremony, but oh well. It wasn’t like he was too terribly invested in all that war stuff, though Torbjorn would probably lecture him later.
The pair made it outside, breaking into a run as soon as they were out of view of the prison. Andrei left the guard uniform in a bush several feet away, sprinting to catch up with Kettu. The woods surrounding the prison began to turn into warehouses and shady alleyways, and the pair began to slow down.
“So, Andrei,” Kettu said when he’d regained his breath, “How’d you find me?”
“I saw you being arrested,” Andrei said. “From the sky. On a dragon.”
“You became a Rider? Impressive–how’d you do it?” Kettu had resumed walking, and Andrei followed him.
Andrei laughed. “I snuck across the border a couple years ago and ran into a group of Riders on the other side. I told them some stupid sob story about my parents getting killed by Azazel’s soldiers and they ate it right up.”
“Haha, nice.”
“So how did you get to Equidron?” Andrei asked. Kettu seemed to be leading him somewhere.
“Same as you–I snuck across the border. And then, I found a group of orphans in this city. So I taught them the ways of the Reapers,” Kettu explained.
“You rebuilt the gang?”
“That’s right. You want in?”
“Obviously.”
“Then come inside.” Kettu had stopped in front of a small warehouse. “We’ve been waiting for you.”

Blackfooted BobcatParticipantAugh I'm not happy with this but I really don't want this rp to die –
~
This is pretty much the worst time to be late, so of course Azami-Enji Castañeda is missing zer dragon. Ze pauses by a wall and peeks around the corner. People, lots of people wearing bright gold-or-silver encrusted shirts and chattering excitedly; one around-12-year-old scrambling to pick up a bunch of spellbooks they had dropped; several statues of dragons – but no Hinata. Ze looks up to the cloudless sky, where dragons of all sizes and colors glide around on the breeze – but all of them have saddles, riders. Zer dragon? Well, annoying as it is, Azami-Enji doesn’t have a saddle. So zer dragon can’t be one of them.
That’s not good. The dragon conference should start in only a little bit, and If ze doesn’t get to it, several things happen.
Well basically, evil-guy-takes-over-Equidron. And Azami-Enji would totally refuse to submit to him, and then ze would get in trouble, and the whole thing would just be bad.
But also? That’s the guy who killed zer brother a month or two ago. Zer brother, the one who kept zer alive for the first nine years of zer life. Zer brother, the one who helped zer find zer dragon Hinata in the first place. Zer brother. The best person in the world.
Zer fists clench. Ze’s going to get revenge, save the world, and maybe even find somewhere to stay. Well, hopefully.
The whole thing’s a bit of a stretch.
But for now, ze figures that Hinata will hear the bells when they strike out the hour. Or at the very least, be at the conference building. But what if they aren’t? Hinata can sometimes lose track of time, and might be out of the range of hearing.
Azami-Enji doesn’t want to be late, though. Ze leaps up and barrels forward.
About 15 minutes, one stolen bread loaf, and 3 run-into people later, ze reaches the conference building. It’s big, grand – red brick, pillars, domes, probably the epitome of architecture, if anyone knows what that means. Ze could go inside, but Hinata’s not here yet, and ze wants to wait. Ze grabs zer bread loaf and starts chewing.
Hinata should be here soon. If they aren’t? If they get held up, if they lose track of time? There’s a high change ze will flunk. And that’s bad.~
Also I haven't looked this over again… *shudders*

Peregrine - NEW PARTParticipant[To clarify: Lyra communicates with Soror telepathically and vocally; her telepathic communication is written in italics. Soror communicates with Lyra telepathically; her telepathic communication is written in bold italics.]
~ Lyra ~
Lyra spun on her heel, feeling the hard stone grind into her feet through the leather of her shoe and the solid weight of her sword in her hands as she swung her it up to the rising sun and slashed it across the deep blue sky in a harsh stroke that would have sliced an enemy diagonally had there been any. The polished silver of her sword flashed bright patches of light as the sun danced off her blade and fell on the rough stones beneath her.
Soror shifted and the blue speckled pattern of mirrored light that came from her scales spun in dizzying arcs. She watched with one eye as Lyra feinted to the left and skewered an unseen enemy to the right, her temendous wings spread across the stone floor of the tower.
Small figures of other dragons and their riders circled the large tower to the north — the training tower — morning sun reflecting off the dragons' scales creating burning bright specks in the sky. Soror and Lyra were alone on a smaller tower.
You are going to be late, Lyra, Soror said. Five minutes until classes. Later you have assignments . . . I'm sure your unit will consist of reliable people.
Lyra finished an arcing cut as she heard Soror's words vibrating in her mind. She frowned mentally to Soror. Slightly perturbed at being pulled from the meditative calm sword practice gave her.
I hadn't forgotten. She was curious to know who would be in her unit; she didn't comment on the small feeling of nervousness she had, but Soror knew anyways. Right. Best not to be late.
She sheathed her sword in one smooth motion and set off at a loping run along side Soror as they made their way through the monolithic halls of Equidron.

I don't know what Mary has planned so I didn't move it forward much. I am looking foward to moving the story along!

SybillParticipantHe/they/xeTorbjorn~~
Classes had just started and Andrei was still missing.Tornbjorn had looked for xem everywhere, and there had been absolutely no sign of him. He'd flown up to Andrei's dorm's window and had seen that the room looked abandoned. It wasn't in a mess or anything, it was perfectly neat (just as Andrei kept it) so Tornbjorn didn't imagine xe'd been kidnapped. One of the scouts had seen Torbjorn flying around, and called him over. Torbjorn landed and the scout explained that she'd seen Andrei leave the base and school early that morning, but he'd never returned. Torbjorn sighed internally, it seemed Andrei was skipping class again. He desperately hoped Andrei would be back for the ceremony, though he seriously doubted he would. Andrei had a bad habit of missing incredibly important events.Torbjorn figured he should look for Andrei. Xe'd already missed a good amount of classes, but maybe he could find him before the ceremony. He wondered if one of the other riders would be willing to help.~~~ -
