Ahhhh, a thread about languages! I LOVE THEM.
I'm learning Japanese and it's the most fascinating thing I've EVER LEARNED. (Chapter 7 in my textbook. can read 300 kanji.) I love learning about it SO MUCH and after I'm fluent I wanna try out Chinese and Lakota-Souix and probably a lot more after that! Any other learners out there, it would be cool to compare ideas and try out a conversation in Japanese (something I'm not able to do and is affecting my learning…)
Also, Jaybells, that's RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING. You sound like a super cool person!

LupineParticipantPlatform 9 and 3/4I'm learning Japanese! I'm really bad at it, especially writing, but it would be fun to have a practice conversation (though my side would be limited to "where are my shoes" and stuff like that xD)

Ha! Yeah, I hear you- I wouldn't be much more advanced than that either.

extremely new CBerI wanna say that Duolingo is the cheapest and most versatile way to learn a language, so if you think it'd be a good choice for you, go for it! However, if you have the money you should try to invest in a textbook or something like that, since they're much more informative, in my own experience. I bought Elementary Japanese and it's been infinitely helpful.

USofAI'm learning French!
I was inspired to visit France after watching the American Girl movie: Grace Stirs Up Success XD I think I was eight or nine. So my mom said she would take me if I learned French. I was super excited to!
My mom used to check out Little Pim French DVDs from our library, which is for toddlers to learn languages, but it helped better than I thought it would! Then I did Duolingo for a while, and now I'm taking an online French class and a bit of Duolingo!

MuspellheimI like languages. My favorite one to learn is ASL, but currently I am learning Spanish.
Hay una serpiente en la casa?
Is there a snake in the house?

We're not posting languages other than English, because we don't have time to check translations. I'm sorry.

I just found this YouTube channel, Comprehensible Japanese! It's pretty cool if you want to check it out. The videos are completely in Japanese, and the native Japanese speaker creating it speaks slowly and uses simple grammar and words, and uses drawings to go along. I can understand most of it, though some of the grammar and kanji I haven't learned yet.

@RainbowParticipant-tsukiYour message from two days ago never showed up for me, so I'm gonna assume that's because it's in a different language. (If not, so sorry!) The admins don't want us posting anything in other languages because they need to be able to know what we are saying. (That's why my message from earlier just says "snakeYes, there is a snake in the house;" the Japanese was taken out.
