Bright sunlight washes over my face, and I sit up, blinking the sleep out of my eyes. Normally, I would roll over and pull the covers over my head, but today is the first day of my time at Petrichor. I didn't want to miss a thing.I rifle through the bag I brought and pick out my favorite outfit. (If there are uniforms, I just pick a clean uniform.) After a few frantic minutes of searching, I find my schedule for the day. The first class is astronomy.I smile. Science classes at home were normal, boring, magi less and mundane. I can't wait to see how this one will turn out. -

I move in front of the satchel hiding Kell. "Don't worry about it. It's uh… enchanted." Is that how enchantments work? I'm not sure.
Thankfully, Drius seems convinced. "Oh, so you know how to enchant things?" they ask.
"No," I stammer. "Um, my grandma made it for me. Anyway, what classes are you taking?"
"I think I'm taking the basic classes, plus astronomy, artificing, casting magic, and rune-magic," they answer.
Ooh, cool! I'm taking astronomy and rune-magic too! I've never really learned magic before, so I'm excited to learn."
Night falls and Drius and I both go to bed. The room is dark, but outside the moon softly glows. I glance over at Drius, making sure they're asleep, before retrieving the satchel I hastily shoved under the bed. The moment I open it Kell bites me, not hard enough to draw blood but hard enough to hurt. "Hey!" I whisper. "What was that for?"
He lets go of my hand. "Do you know how hard it is to stay in there? I was so cramped I could barely move!" he whines. "And I'm hungry!"
"Shh," I tell him. "Our roommate doesn't know about you."

@Script, I like the idea of Erin making excuses and everything, but I don't know if Kell would put up with it! We'll see…

Keeping my head down, I glided around, looking for my dorm. Eventully, I found it. A small, quaint looking room, big enough for at least three beds, there where only two, so quite a bit of space. I looked to the right, a tall,16-ish girl was standing over a desk, her hands moving in a circl. She seemed to notice me, even though I had not made any sound. She moved away from her progect, waving at me. "Hi" she said, smiling. I said nothing, fidigting with my hands. She cocked her head, her eyebrows shrunching. I shifted my weight from foot to foot, getting uncomfertble. I wish Hour was here, she could tell her. The girl scoffed "Well be that way, It's not like I want to be friends with some one as rude as you". Confused, I shook my head. She turned away " I'm Crystle Bloom, not that you would care". I sighed, floating over to my bed, people get the wrong idea all the time, I wish they didn't.
Sorry Its so short, hope fully I can get to more of this.

Well, I finally met my roomate. It did not go as I expected or planned. Whatever. I am here to learn anyway. Not make friends. I am the best anyway. I AM THE BEST!!!!!! Anyways, I headed down to the library to borrow some books. I do like reading, just not all the time like some book worms I know.
After reading for a few hours, I decided to find something to eat. I was sooooooo hungry! I finally found something and ate it quickly. I decided to figure out where my classes where so I didn't get lost on my first day like some loser.
After all that I decided to head to my room and take a nap. I was very tired. I kinda hoped my roomate wouldn't be there, but she was. Whatever. It's not like her presence is disturbing me. I fall asleep after a few minutes.

I wake up pretty early. The sun is rising and it shines directly in my face. It seems that Erin's side of the room is safe from the sun glare though. I close the blinds a bit just to make sure.
She seems really sweet! I'm glad we have some classes together. I have at least 1 friend. I;m not sure when classes start so I guess I'll get ready first then wake Erin up. I don't want them to miss anything on our first day.
I stumble around, almost knocking a lamp over Apparently Erin has an enchated bag which I think is really cool. I don't know what it's enchanted to do though. Apparently just move around i guess.
I finally get dressed in a striped button down shirt and jeans. I grab my glasses and head back out into the dorm.
Erin is still sleeping so i walk over to them and gently shake them to wake them up.
"Kell, stop it." They say turning over
"Who's Kell?" I ask
She shoots straight up, "uh, no one"
"Oh sorry, I just didn't want you to miss anything, um, I'm going to go." I quickly walk out of the room and try to find breakfast.

The Fairy RealmShannonShannon leaned down from the tree, distracted. She frowned down at the two people on the ground, trying to catch their words. From the height, she guessed they were teachers, but it was sor t of hard to judge from above. Also, she didn't really know anyone here.Shannon closed her eyes to try and listen better. She caught a few stray words like "supposed" "never" "wonder" "accident" "dangerous" "inform" "no". She frowned, trying to make sense of it all. She scooched a little further out on the tree limb she was clinging to. Suddenly, she heard a loud creaking sound beneath her. Before she could react, the branch she was on snapped in half and Shannon tumbled through the air. Her scream was torn from her lips as she plummeted down. Only now did she realize just how high she had been. She closed her eyes, waiting for the awful splatting noise she would surely make on the hard floor. But suddenly she came to an abrupt halt. Shannon eased one eye open and looked around. She was hanging in midair. One of the teachers had their hand outstrectched, a look of consentration on his young face. Sweat beaded on his forehead. "Gnn- Morgan- help-" he grunted. The other teacher, who had been frozen in shock, now leaped forward, plunging her hand into her pocket and pulling out a wand. She pointed it at Shannon and muttered some words under her breath. Shannon was slowly lowered to the floor, gently landing on her feet.Shannon blew out a breath of relief. The young man teacher let his hand drop with a sigh of relief. The lady teacher, who looked as if she was in her early thirties, shoved her wand into her pocket and glared at Shannon. "What do you think you're doing??" she asked angrily. "You could've been killed!" -

Sonoma, CA~Dorrie~
On the first day of school, I wake up and get dressed alone. Apparently, I don't share the dormitory, but solitude can be nice. Especially because all the magic in this place is giving me a downright headache. I look at the schedule I have pinned to the wall. Of math, history, literature, rune-magic, casting-magic, alchemy, and healing, I have casting-magic first. Head pounding, I realize that I have overslept. There are no nearby maps, so I wander down the halls until I come to a classroom whose brass plaque reads CASTING-MAGIC. I There are people inside. I realize that the class is nearly starting. I edge in, trying to be unnoticed. Of course, that little trick never works.
"You there! Please tell us your name, your age, your house, and your excuse for being late!" said the teacher sharply. The teacher has glasses and a knifelike nose, and they seem like a man, but making too many assumptions will always get you into trouble.
"My name is Doran Delaney," I tell him, "and I'm, um, 13, and–"
"Hold a second," says the teacher, "are you Delaney Doran or Doran Delaney?"
Oh no. Cheeks flaming, I say, "Doran Delaney, but I actually prefer to be called Dorrie–"
"I do not abide by nicknames," says the teacher. "As you were telling me, you're thirteen years old, and–what house are you in?"
"Kelpie. And, um, I overslept?"
"True. All right. Thankfully you did not miss any class, so I cannot get you in trouble for anything. Let us begin."
———————————————————————————————————
After casting-magic, I head to alchemy full of anger, embarrassment, and headache. The good side of sensing the power of all these magical things is that it will pour into me, but unfortunately, if your lesson is how to use casting-magic to incinerate one (stress: ONE) pencil-shaving, and your power overflows, there isn't really a good side. Sure enough, I happened to have set fire to the entire class's shavings, and while there wasn't an accident, I had to see the headmistress. I had asked the teacher when. The teacher, who still didn't give me their name, said any time soon. I consult my watch. It is 9:18; class is at 9:30. I decide I have enough time, and thread my way through the halls to see the headmistress. I knock on the door.
"Enter," says a voice, probably hers. I enter.
"The, um, casting-magic teacher told me to see you," I say nervously.
"On what offense, Doran Delaney?" Whoa–she knows my name.
"Accidentally setting fire to everyone's pencil shavings with this?" I hold up the wand I was given and it sparks involuntarily.
"Ah. I see. And if you have any idea why you did this, can you tell me?" Headmistress Finnegan says.
"Um, I can sense every magical device in this school? And probably control it? But all the power coming from them gives me a headache?" I feel very panicked: for a master at getting in trouble, every time is fresh and new in terms of anxieties.
"All right. Control yourself, control yourself, control yourself, and if you need any lessons on that, come to me. This affected me when I was a small child, you know." I am shocked. Wisteria Finnegan shares a power with me? I nod and make my way down the hall. Then I consider how welcome the buzz of magic actually is. At home, the only stuff I could sense had been electricity, which panged and pinged like an annoying piano. My cat, though, had helped by licking the power from my fingers as though it were milk. But here, in an unknown part of Scotland, where there were no power lines for miles and miles, I am happier by far than I had been at my home. Then I leave for alchemy.
