Fir

Pangolin, Mirage, and Arum begin to lay out the food we brought. Mir made raspberry amaretti biscuits, which are my absolute favorite. I'll definitely have to steal some later. Or ask politely. Yeah, I guess asking nicely would work for Plan B…

Koi's stretched out in the grass, the sun warming her ginger fur, and Virid scurried off somewhere to go…tend to plants, or whatever he does. He's strangely mature and responsible for a CAPTCHA. Barnacle has already set up our cornhole set. He doesn't have anyone to play with at the moment, so he's just practicing throwing beanbags. Knight flies loop-de-loops overhead.

I don't really have anything to do, so I begin to wander around the park. Inkwell Park is really pretty. The grassy hill we're on is spotted with wildflowers, and beyond that, a path runs through a forested area. All around me, CBers, AEs, and CAPTCHAs are arriving at the picnic and talking to each other. I forgot I don't really know any other AEs. I don't really have anyone to talk to.

I spot a person collecting flowers, a bouquet of brightly colored blossoms clutched in his hands, and I run over to him.

"Uh, hi! The flowers here are SO pretty — I was noticing them on the walk here. The poppies might be my favorite, 'cause there's so many different colors." I bend down to pick a bright orange poppy, and fidget with its stem between my fingers. "Oh, I'm Fir, by the way. Want me to make you a daisy crown?"

@Writing, I thought this would be a good opportunity for Fir and Oliver to meet and then become friends? I hope this is okay with you 🙂

Sure, I can probably make that work a little later in the rp, if that's okay? And also sorry all, it's getting late so I won't have time to post the POVs tonight, but I'll try to get to it tomorrow morning 😀

I never like social gatherings. I don't know why I come this time- I suppose it's time I make a few friends. I've never had one of those- not even my siblings, really. Ever likes me but we don't talk much, Ellerie seems to like me but Im too protective over her to really be "friends". Five and I dont get along.

I trail along with Starli's other AEs. Starli is ahead, holding a basket with who knows what inside of it. Ever and El walk slightly behind her, talking, probably about something like a TV show. They're best friends- they have been since the beginning. Five walks a little behind me, but we don't talk, that wouldn't be a good idea.

Ellerie comes back to talk to me, Ever trailing behind her. ":You okay?:" She asks. She knows I hate social events. "Im fine. I think I might socialize today." Ever smiles at me. He's nice.

We get to the picnic eventually. Starli starts setting up and Ever and Ellerie help her. Five goes off to talk to someone- or maybe he's just exploring. Personally, I walk up to someone who I believe is Mirage. What? I read the forms.

"Hi, I'm Meg," I say. Out of courtesy (and needing to know if I'm right) I add, "What's your name?" 

Friendo:

"Guys guys guys we're laaaaate!" I say racing into the hangar, where Skree, Chaser, and Jay, are gathered around one of the airskiffs, packing things into payload in the back of it. Knowt is also nestled into the payload in a nest of ropes, picking apart a knot in one of them. Currently Knowt looks like some kind of baby falcon-owl thing, with fluffy downy feathers, only he's neon orange and hot pink and bright blue instead of the normal gray and brown and white.

"We know," say Skree, giving me a Look, "you're the one who slept in."

Meanwhile, Jay is going through a checklist of the things we're bringing.

"Ice cream?"

"Check." says Skree, hefting a tub of Blue Moon ice cream into a cooler in the skiff.

"Basketball?"

"Yup." says Chaser. He's hoping there will be a basketball court or something at the picnic.

"Ropes?"

[rowpz]! Knowt cheerfully chirps from his rope nest.

"Oreos?" Jay says with a grin in his voice.

I sigh pointedly. Jay knows I have no control over the oreos that magically appear in my pockets.

"Alrighty," Jay says, "lets go."

We hop into the skiff and zip through the hangar doors, zooming over CB city to the grassy hill. I can see the Admin castle frome here–where the Admins work, and possibly also live? Not much is known about them. There's also possibly a mysterious being known as the Webmaster in the castle somewhere, who oversees the servers that keep CB city running. Even less is known about the Webmaster than the Admins.

Pretty soon we're there. Chaser runs off with his basketball to the basketball court at the bottom of the grassy hill, Skree heads off to set out the ice cream, Jay scoops up Knowt and goes to watch the Go game, and I go looking for Barnacle. Barnacle is this really nice AE–I think he's pangolin's–I met a few days ago at the park.

I find Barnacle near a cornhole set, tossing some beanbags. I pick up the other set of beanbags.

"Want to play?" I ask him.

"Ugh. Why did I have to carry the heaviest baaag.." Lore whined, lagging behind. "Come on, dude your the strongest out of all of us." I replied. "Yes, Lore. Why are you complaining? " Crawaline quipped. "Whatever" He huffed. 

Finally reaching the top of the hill, Lore put down the basket of food. "Good thing that hikes done. Cori! Unpack that stuff will you!". 

"Yeah yeah. Whatever." Taking the loaves of bread and cold cuts out of the cooler, along with three big bottles of strawberry milk (per Strawberry’s request) and A lot of different sweets. After setting them on the table, I found Lore. “I finished taking this stuff out. If you guys don’t mind” I said looking around. Spotting the tan skinned and black/red hair boy “I’m g-gunna go down to the beach. Ok?”.

He nodded slowly, “Sure, but is everything ok?”. I quickly put on a happy smile. “Yep! All peachy! Just hoping to find inspo for a song.”

“If that’s all then sure, go right ahead. But come back when your ready.”

“SURE!” I yelled running towards the beach.
