A Cold MoonCongrats on winning! Just a friendly reminder to put up a prompt for the next contest
:)No pressure ofc! -
Sea@Cloud BunnyGuestSince it’s been nearly two weeks since the judging was released, if Cloud Bunny doesn’t answer by the 29th, then Moon Wolf or Thalorwin could judge next. (@Cloud Bunny, if you’re reading this, please don’t worry about being late, but tell us something as soon as you can.)

ThalorwinGuestOK! I’m gonna judge because Cloud Bunny isn’t responding.
The theme is: Snowflakes I suppose it’s sort of similar to last times theme being Winter, but I guess it’s fine! I’ll judge on the 24. That’s more than 2 weeks, so it should be enough time for everyone to participate!
Happy New Year y’all!!!

A Celestial SkyWinterlight/em>, Fantasy YA/MG
Three different people. Three different journeys. And the snowstorm that brings them together.
Agnes, a young woman from the Holy Kingdom, embarks on a spiritual journey as customary for those coming-of-age before they become priests, but is caught in a snowstorm and ends up in a tundra in the middle of nowhere. She is forced to use her new and uncertain light powers, rumored to contain a curse, in order to survive the intense blizzard.
Iselle comes from a village in the Northlands, where snow is not an unfamiliar sight. However, life has become increasingly more difficult for the people of the North, with resources running out. She ventures south in search for better lands, hoping for a place the Northerners can call their home, but is caught in a blizzard. She barely survives with her survival skills, and decides to take a chance and follow the mysterious light in the tundra she ends up in.
Ryem lives under the oppressive rule of the Fior Empire, and due to the forbidden magic of his family, is forced to live at the very bottom of society. He himself has never possessed his own magic thus far, and questions the injustice at which he and his family was subject to under the empire. One day, at his mother’s dying wish, he escapes, venturing into the unknown outside world. A snowstorm occurs, and in the midst of it, Ryem awakens a feeling, an intuition, that guides him to an unusual light, along with the presence of two strangers.
Together, the three of them discover that there is more to the world than what they had known, and as their paths intertwine, so do their feelings, loyalties, and lives.

Snow has not fallen in the kingdom of Frilk in 50 years.
On every person’s face, on their 13th birthday, a snowflake design begins spreading. It determines what their job will be, who they will marry, and where in Frilk they will live. When no snowflake appears on Rob’s forehead, he is nearly killed by an angry mob. He escapes into the mountains, where he encounters bandits, a bear, and some very gnarly rocks. Most importantly, he sees his first snow. He notices that the snowflakes are similar to the designs on people’s faces. Then the snow, like the Frilkians, nearly kills him. He drags himself into a cave, where he stays for a week, making fires and scribbling poetry on the walls with a charred stick. Most of it is metaphors comparing snow to the people of Frilk. When sun peaks over the mountain of snow, he starts down the mountain, coming across a village that welcomes him with open arms. They have never heard of Frilk and assume that he is making it up. He becomes famous for his poetry and lives- sort of- happily ever after. -
